Trad, if I ever bust free of obligations, you're welcome to come do a tower on two conditions - you have people who can vouch for you that I know personally and you can hold your own if something happens - I refuse to get on anything if I don't think I can comfortably send every pitch. That's my rules for Internet hook up.
And right now I need some aid practice badly. Needling ol' Danny boy (my partner) into doing Zion after Christmas.

Lois sez: "In your particular case, the information stuck because when you posted it last summer some time, it struck me that you were quite sophisticated for someone so young. I was thinking back to my own life and where I was at that stage/time and I was thinking how you were light years ahead of me in comparison to where I was when I was 24. Then again, life is not a race. We all get there eventually. For me, it seems I took some rather round about ways to get where I am now. I could think of at least several more direct routes I might have chosen."
Well, it's more of a curse than a gift if your estimation is true. My siblings are in their 40s. I grew up fast because I wanted to be like them and I never got along with kids my own age. I have very little tolerance for those who don't have their act together or aren't trying to get it there and it's kind of lonely when you're young. Dating, if you haven't picked up, is quite an experience. It's not something I would wish on anyone. ::shrug::

Hi Lois
I love everybody so some degree in more or less different ways. There was a time on this forum where we had a lot of back and forth dialog as you were making inquiries regarding the political situation. I was, and am, very concerned about our situation with the war, with energy and with the behavior of the government.
So I spent a lot of time explaining my views, and having done that, have focused on other things rather than spend excess time on the next repeating myself ad-nauseum. I said my peace and will continue to chime in once in awhile when it might make a difference, but don't like alientating my conservative friends in any constant way. I'm happy to see you've been considering your views although I was almost astounded that you would again bring up Iraq in the context of a response to 9-11.
But in any case, it's nothing personal. I just haven't been posting as much.
And I'll try to lavish some attention on Maculated now too. Seems like there are so few women on Supertopo that I'm discouraged to elbow through the crowd to fall at their feet. I'm not worthy!
Peace
Karl

"Anyway, I have a very early escape in the morning. Hopefully nobody will read about it..."
Is this what gave it away? If so, you are much more clever than I thought.

Hmm. Then you must be thinking of somebody else. Please give me a hint that only I would understand.

Comprehendo. Cogito.
Except I do not remember any triangles. And the horse, zebra thing eludes me.
I guess horses are more common than zebras. Wait. Zebras have not been tamed. Ergo, they are wild (mentally ill). To sum it up...
"Literally" means that it *really* happened. Eureka.

Let's see... Batten posting as Rajmit posting to Juan as Lois posting to Rajmit as Juan. This place is getting very strange!
Hey Rajmit, you going to be in Josh this weekend?

Rajmit, does that mean you have to import the UCLA coeds? Isn't that expensive?

If you have to ask, you've never trolled.
I'm fairly earnest in my postings, yes? On RC.com I pulled off quite a good troll once because I have the same "persona" there as here, because it's just me not trying anything. Sometimes I am a smartass. Most times I'm fairly earnest. But one day I decided to lead people on a goose hunt after one person condescended to me in a response so I just kept playing like I didn't understand them. Someone finally caught on and let out the secret and I won huge accolades for my masterful troll. I won't do it often, though, or it will not work. Play off of people's naivete.
It's like dry humor. I met this guy recently who would say things like, "You ever see a Monty Python movie?" and my response would be, "No, never . . . tell me about this Monty Piton." He full on started earnestly trying to tell me how to go about finding out whether it was my type of humor and how to choose the right movie for my first one . . . I finally had to stop him and tell him I was joking.
The same night he asks me if I've ever seen this whale documentary. And I say, "My God, no! And whale documentaries are what I live for!"
And he gets all excited, "Me too! . . . Wait, is this that dry humor like before, are you kidding with me?"
Me: ". . ."
He was taken aback. "Why, why would you do that?"
And it occurred to me that I have a dry sense of humor because I enjoy other people figuring out the joke, and if not, I like seeing people's reactions. It's fun to laugh at your own joke sometimes.
That's why trolls exist.
