ramones '76 at the Westgate lane s bowling alley in Brockton , MA. Clash '79 radio city. This is why I left college. That and Animal House premier.
Of course they are no punks but U2 at the Paradise in Boston "81 $3 and the encore was "Let's Twist Again like we did last summer"
I never saw the Pistols , but wish I had.

For a couple years I played in an LA band called Toss That Doll.
It was wild. The lead singer's mike was installed inside a naked baby doll. We would toss inflated sex dolls out onto the club floor, and frequently they were put to use. Our lighting guy would always throw a spot on that action.

I remember seeing Steve Jones and Paul Cook play this shitty little bar in Oklahoma. The sound was sh#t, and Steve said so and threatened to bail...
Middle America definitely wasn't ready for the Pistols when they came over- it was great!!!
One of the best shows I ever saw was the Ramones at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz sometime in the '80's. Non-stop energy, just unreal!

I don't see the Germs up yet. I recommend the documentary, "The Decline of Western Civilisation" but absolutely not "What we do is secret".
Other great biopics are "The Gits Movie" and "We Jam Econo".
Edit: hell yeah, the MC5! I consider "Kick out the Jams" to be the first punk recording.
