If you get a Bee sting, DO NOT take ibuprofin...it will actually increase the effects of the sting.
Tip from a bee-keeper friend.

Pate, LOL, as kids we used to fly dragonflies by their tails...I was 'bit' on the hand by a bumblebee that was mad that I was having to use the purple rope he had just touched down on...hurt pretty bad, not good while belaying.

My brother and I wen't to climb Thor's Hammer on the east coast (VT,NH?) After we got down we were hiking back to the car and my bro notice a hole with ground nesting hornets. He suggested we find another route to the car. I, being impatient for beers and ignorant of east coast hornet beehaviour, said screw it and went right by. Huge mistake. Uncountable howling hornets poured out of the ground and immediately began stinging us. It was a hot day and we only had shorts and T-shirts on.
Fortunately, there is a resevior below the cliff. We ran like hell down hill through the woods jumping logs, boulders shedding every bit gear we could along the way and dove straight into the water. We did the stealthy submarine peek after about 30 seconds saw that all our gear was covered in hornets, and some were still patrolling the water surface. Had to sit in the water for an hour getting hypothermic waiting for them to calm down.
My bro looked at me while were sitting in the water and in a very calm voice said "you %&*hole". I hate it when he is right....

Bombing into red's meadow, 30mph , 14% grade , bibbed shorts , open jersey , an angry native bee gets trapped on my tender eroginous zone and starts drilling away ....now a large bus is coming at me ....braking with one hand and dragging one foot , i come to a stop straddling my top tube and inflicting more pain....always zip up on a descent....
