I know you might not be able to understand this as it is completely foreign to any thought patterns you've been exposed to, but please try:
Unlike your party, we "liberals" are able to hold dissenting opinions from what our leadership expounds. Furthermore, we are able to analyse the feasibility of programs such as "star wars" and decide - for ourselves - if it makes sense scientifically, politically and/or financially.
Your co-criminals only seem be able to say "no" to anything that didn't come from that side of the aisle. And they expect the entire support base to parrot those "thoughts." How does it feel to be a mindless drone?

SUAP wrote: Reagan bankrupted the soviets by forcing them to spend money to keep up with missile defense. Gotta love reagan
Typical republican trying to rewrite history...the only country that Reagan bankrupted was America.

The real issue here is that by painting moderately conservative policies as "far left socialism" the right has succeeded in veering the country far to the right. Obama has from day 1 of his Presidency proposed policies that were REPUBLICAN POLICIES in 1994 and they are getting shot down as "too liberal." This is impressive as it is working. It is sad simply for the fact that people in this thread think those aspersions are truth instead of merely political propaganda (if effective propaganda). SUAP is the most obvious, recent example of this kind of idiocy.

"Guys guys Obama isn't being bipartisan *whine* *whine*"
Fatty said Obama is now sticking his finger in the wind and will support anything to get re-elected, this should be some kind of fun.
I dub thee Captain Having-It-Both-Ways.
Anyway, who is your pick for 2012, Fatty? I assume that the RNC is now using you as a sounding board for who not to support.

Obama has a "something for nothing" mentality or at least that is what he hopes to sell the masses
Bullshite. That's a total fallacy that the right tries to pin on him whenever they think they can get away with it. Please provide some concrete proof to back up your position.
It's more the right that tries to pull that off, like tax cuts for the rich. Who's going to pay for that? Trickle down voodoo lies. Hey, let's invade Iraq. We'll be greeted as liberators and we'll reap profits from the sale of oil. Piece of cake. Mission accomplished. Oh, where'd the 2 trillion plus dollars go? I'll get back to you on that... Hey, looks like the banks are going to fail. Better give them a trillion dollars because then they'll start to feel safe enough to loan money again. Or not.
You guys are so myopic that you can't see the cost-effectiveness of his plans over the long term. Health care reform will save money and lives. It will enrich our country by boosting productivity (less sick days) and help raise the intelligence of the population through better health. Cash for Clunkers cost almost nothing and ended taking a bunch of gas guzzling polluters out of the picture so we can have cleaner air and less dependence on the terrorists who we buy from.

Lois..talking out of her arse again.
In January, Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, joined by Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, introduced a bill to fund a national program to stimulate the economy and get gas-guzzling vehicles off the roads. Similar programs had been successful in several states and countries.
The auto industry opposed the bill’s tight fuel-efficiency standards. But instead of simply resisting the measure, NADA, a key lobbying group, seized the idea and converted it to its own purposes. In June, the House approved an industry-backed bill with looser fuel-efficiency standards. A similar industry-backed bill was introduced in the Senate.
Under the Feinstein bill, consumers would receive $4,500 only if they purchased a passenger car with a fuel efficiency rating of at least 13 miles per gallon or higher than the clunker they were dropping off. In the bill passed by the House, the rating difference was lowered to 10 miles per gallon or more.
