I hear much of the great art was saved in the Notre Dame Cathedral fire. They are going to rebuild.
Nothing remains the same; everything changes, everything ages. It's about adapting and going forward, a tough lesson that forever changed my life 11 years ago. But learned, there is still a lot of awesome living to do...places to go and people to meet. Cheers! The Campfire isn't dead yet. :)

Its not any particular thread Lynne. They decided to not allow hot linking from sites like photo bucket, which is part of what is ruining this thread,
AND they decided to delete all photos in a persons account here on supertopo if they find any photo that they deem to possibly be copyrighted and not belong to the person who posted it and so rather then try and get people to delete the few offending photos.. they decided to just delete the whole account. Its simpler for them, but pretty much wrecks the place. Yes,, they gave a couple of days warning.. but thats all, so some people were in the middle of deleting photos when their entire group of photos were deleted. A Few days to go through many years worth of photos.. Plus no explanation of what really constituted an offending photo. It doesn't even seem to matter if the person had permission, such as posting a friends photos. I have posted many of Karl's photos, but I don't own the photos, so if they get to me, then my photo file will be deleted.
seems pretty draconian and a bit nuts to me. I don't get it. But I didn't understand Warbler's being deleted, so I don't feel like I understand RJ or Chris anymore. I use to defend them, but this is kind of crazy. All of Bachar's photos were deleted. And now all of Fritz's.
Adios Supertopo.. At times it was a blast.

Thanks John M! I think you are one of many I first met here on ST and then in the real at TPR. ST=catalyst in so many ways. I didn't see the warning about the pictures.....oh well.

What is up with the pictures? Anita's took me to a facebook link (no pic). Zb's took me to website with the pic.
I just uploaded this one from my hard drive to see if it worked, Sorry, Nita but no one wants to look at my ugly mug.
So if it isn't a linked pic it still works. I know it takes my computer awhile to load a page from the What Song Thread if there are several posts of videos compared to just a link.
I am not sure if all those embedded videos are taking up too much space on CMac's server and if that is related to the missing pictures. Maybe Zb can answer that.
edit:
I just read John's post above, pictures are everything to this site, climbing,TR's and OT of everything to birds, flora, etc. not to mention the Yosemite history.
I have 658 photos still uploaded.
I would pay to offset the cost if that is a problem.

OMG, Neebee, didn't realize all the pics were jettison to the invisible universe. I never put a picture on here.
BUT, how I will miss Ouch, Nefarius, dirtineye, bachar and all those that are gone from this planet.
The hard harshness of change has hit me....so very sad.
