You're right about the nukes, Pud - "finger on the button" was a figure of speech. Perhaps I should have said to try to imagine Trump as the most powerful man in the world, reacting to the insanity and threats of today. Given his wild, irrational statements to date, the thought is chilling.

the less educated you are the more likely you are to vote republican. You think there's a reason they fight against education - well there is. It's their strategy for staying in power.

Trump's first year in office? I doubt seriously that we'll see that.

What's interesting is that a guy who has something LOUD to say about EVERYTHING is so screamingly silent on the Malheur Hoedown....

Pretty much the sole purpose of NK's nuke tests is to recalibrate the world's attention any time events elsewhere on the planet make dear leader feel ignored and inconsequential.

NK is kind of like the global version of the crew occupying the Oregon refuge.

I'm starting to see similarities between Trump supporters and professional wrestling fans.

What's nutty is the core of the RNC will vote for Hillary or stay home before they vote for that clownstick.

(I posted this because I like reading intelligent discussion on the subject, but on many points and in overall tone I largely disagree with the author.)

George Wallace's daughter believes Trump and her dad have a lot in common, except that Trump's bigotry is more overt. A top campaign adviser for Wallace's presidential campaign agrees.

“There are a great deal of similarities as it relates to their style and political strategies,” said Wallace’s daughter, Peggy Wallace Kennedy. “The two of them, they have adopted the notion that fear and hate are the two greatest motivators of voters. Those voters that feel alienated from the government. Those voters tend to make decisions based on an emotional level rather than intellectual.”

“They both understood, my father and Donald Trump, that low-information voters, they tend to feed off of the threats to their livelihood and safety without really considering what that threat really is, or even if it’s real,” she continued. “So daddy and Trump have this magnificent personality, a brave put-ons that the average American wants in a leader.

I'm beginning to think there is much more tactical genius in Trump's approach to this campaign than his abrasive and often disorganized pronouncements would indicate. Look at how Cruz' birther "problem" is gaining credibility. Look at the thrashing Bill and Hill are taking over women's issues.

Rick, I think you're 100% spot on. At first I thought his campaign was random and rambling off the cuff Trumpisms, but that's not the case at all.

As a registered Republican I will vote for Trump in the Presidential Primary in my state

I very much want him to be the one to face the Democrat in the general election.

Please join me and vote for Donald in your state primary.

With my almost perfect record of voting for the loser, I would better serve my candidate of choice by voting for somebody else. Even if I wanted Trump.
