Johnny, here's what I was asking you about the other day:
Also, according to Mini, that crack in the corridor is "'In the Pit'. Got 'cleaned' and protected by Ray Olsen back in those days. I think Lidija the Pocket Russian did the FA."

My shots of In the Pit.

I don't really remember if that was the name that stuck, the working name, the final name...

Then of course, here's a very young Chris Lindner soloing Robbin's. Spotted by Tom and Rick Piggot. Kid was a freakin' honemaster at 4.

San Vicente is closed at this time. But it is being poached with a few catch and release locals. Spinners and drop shot are working best and pulling 3-7 pound bass.

Hey Mini, those are shots of Kim Worsman. There's another pic of her up thread on Retropulsion. So you must have climbed with Kim and Ed. I'm wondering if I know you. Guess I'll find out if you're at the shindig.

Hi Andy,

I ran the Mtn. Shop at Sport Chalet in Escondido around 88-90 or so, so we've most likely met, at a minimum. I remember an Andy Redding(?) We might've run into each other at Dixon too...the usual haunts. I did know Kim and Ed through the shop and on the hill, though i never really climbed with them outside of S.D. since they were more into the emerging sport climbing scene and i was more interested in the long trad stuff or following Ray O. through the bushes to find some unplucked gem (which i could never climb, but that was beside the point...) Hopefully old(er) faces will remember each other even if names have drifted away...

Isn't this the boulder behind uncetainity principle?
I believe the route on the left had be soloed many times and the crack goes free, I think it was done by Dan Haughelstine.

Hey Chris, you got the right Andy. I'm sure we crossed paths somewhere along the way. I used to leave xerox copies of a topo I made for Dixon on the counter at Stanley Andrews. Yeah, I tagged along with Kim and Ed for quite some time in the 80's and 90's.
