Things to bypass, circumvent, dodge, duck, elude, escape,
eschew, evade, get around, shun, fight shy of,
give a wide berth to, have no truck with,
keep (or stay) (or steer) clear of:
leaders who insist that they have the blessing of the almighty
and preachers who insist that god is on their side;
also poison oak, mad dogs, dog sh#t, perfect masters, and choss.

He's been hoping to get this home for some time, but the goons at the Harley shop dropped it off a stand and the tank was dinged bigtime along with the handlebar chrome and the pipe, too.
This entailed much dispute about a reduced price.

I AM AN AVERAGE JOE, PROBABLY
I see myself as an average Joe.
And like a lot of the other Joes
I think I am smarter than most of the rest.
I know I am not the smartest
but kind of average, probably.
The same with looks,
though let's face it,
I am older than most of your moms, also probably.
And I don't mean to offend ladies.
I could be a Jane, it is plain.
But gender-neutral does not exist here,
at least not yet that I can tell,
and so let's just go with Plain Joe.
Jane, it is plain, will not care,
probably.

Jumping back over to the west side to Mariposa County just above Coulterville.
And just below the town of Coulterville, the eponymous waterway descends to Piney Creek and Lake McClure on the Merced River.
For centuries, the MiWok and other California natives lived well in this domain, on both sides and in Yosemite Valley. (Then they let the immigrants in.)

CDC, public health and regulatory officials in several states, and the USFDA
investigated a multistate outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 infections.
This outbreak of appears to be over as of June 28, 2018.
 210 people infected with the outbreak strain were reported from 36 states.
96 people were hospitalized, including 27 people who developed
a type of kidney failure called hemolytic uremic syndrome.
5 deaths were reported from Arkansas, California, Minnesota (2), and New York.
Epidemiologic, laboratory, and traceback evidence indicated that romaine lettuce
from the Yuma growing region was the likely source of this outbreak.
