“You have taken the land which is rightfully ours. Years from now my people will be forced to live in mobile homes on reservations. Your people will wear cardigans, and drink highballs. We will sell our bracelets by the road sides, you will play golf, and enjoy hot hors d’oeuvres. My people will have pain and degradation. Your people will have stick shifts. The gods of my tribe have spoken. They have said, ‘Do not trust the Pilgrims.’ And for all these reasons I have decided to scalp you and burn your village to the ground.”

Poco, I had a roommate from Colorado that turned me on to Hot Rize in 1979.. I bought their first cassette and played it until it no longer played right.
Still one of my favorite Bluegrass bands..
Blue is fallin' , explains some things i always wondered about Mr O'brien...
good song..
Hooblie, Dang-it..I thought Tom O'brien wrote Blue is fallin'.....Didn't know it was Mr Bromberg's song.....

On a Sunday, eight days before Memorial Day, a mountain exploded in fire and ash as Ian Curtis' soul was released.
This was the last song he performed.
For some reason Autumn always goes well with a little Joy Division as background music.

I learned of Ryan Bingham when he recorded some tracks for the film Crazy Heart. Many artists contributed to that soundtrack, but T-Bone Burnett and Ryan wrote the theme song and got a Grammy for their efforts.

And this ain't no place for the weary kind (this place being here, home, now).
