T minus 3 weeks till my 40th bday surf trip to Nicaragua.
Staying at and all inclusive surf lodge in Popoyo with 8 buddies of mine.
Getting super pumped!
Anybody got any Nicaragua info to share? ....post up!

Popoyo... off-shore all day everyday this time of year. And you can get those combo swells that are really peaky on the beach breaks. Enjoy and happy birthday!

I took my son and 5 of his friends down to Colorado's a couple of years back. It was amazing! I'd say my second favorite after the Mentawaiis, but I love beach break.
D2- I design the boards on a computer then send the file to a C&C mill shop that cuts the foam to 1/100th of an inch. It's cheating compared to the craftsman that hand shape.

BTW.....
Costa is tha shiznit.
The first time I was there was for over 3 months. We scored up and down the pacific side and even got some waves on the Caribbean side as well.

I believe the months that have marginal winds are October and November, other than that it's offshore most days.

I know people in Dominical/Uvita who live there full time, run a hostel, lodge, run surf trips, waterfall tours. PM if you want any beta.

Does anyone know where this left is? I'd guess somewhere between Boca Barranca and Jaco. That sure looks like Malpais in the background.

The coastline kind of reminds me of the area north of Jaco as well.
I took a boat trip up there and surfed a couple breaks.

Just got back from Nicaragua.....pretty much scored hard. Got some nice barrels and ate like a king.
All you can eat lobster $10
Eye opener for how much more of a poor country it is than other Central American countries I've been to.

Yeah there wasn't much before I left but I was swimming a lot at least so I felt strong down there.
A few days in and you get in the groove regardless....
