Thanks Elke! Didn't know how to get back in touch with you after seeing you up on Woodson that day. I just spoke with Chris yesterday and he was in Vegas, having just drove through a blizzard through Utah all the way to St. George, he told me. He was on his way to Bishop and said he'd probably be down to Woodson on Tues or Wed to climb next week.

if you are going to quote, then cut and paste. If you alter what was said or written as you have done here it is not a quote, it is a fabrication.

Henny,

I learned to climb with those dudes (+ the Pocket Russian)at Woodson and the other usual So. Cal haunts when I was but a lad in the late 80's.(I shot those photos of Piggott leading Ph.D posted here earlier in the thread.) I remember our paths crossing when I worked at Sports Country Ltd. in San Berdoo with Dave Bridges in the early 90's, then at Five.Ten, then Fish Products...I finally bailed the whole climbing scene in about 1997 or so, having fallen on, backed off of, or flat out walked away from most of the finest routes everywhere.

Before I became "Mini"(so called by Russ Walling during my tenure at FiveTen--and forever thus) people used to call me Chris Persinger. I've been teaching design at Bishop High School for the past 9 years and trying to figure out why people now bring their beds with them to go bouldering.

If you've never seen (or heard of) the footage I shot of KP at the Hueco Rock Rodeo post contest bonfire/disco in 1992 or so, come on in to town and I'll dust off a VCR and fire up a trip down memory lane. Fun footage of the very much alive and young Dave Bridges too. I miss that guy.
---------------------------
KP, if you don't want Henny to see the footage of you I shot at the Hueco Rock Rodeo in 1992, send a shoe box full of unmarked $1.00 bills** to: The Mini Cheese, c/o Bishop Union High School 301 N. Fowler St. Bishop CA 93514
-------------------

**I assume its not against the law to extort someone using a public forum if:
a. it's between friends and/or associates
b. the address is a public school
c. the people at the school have no idea who "the mini cheese" is and will therefore pilfer the money anyway before I can collect
d. the bills are in one dollar denominations

oh yeah, here's me back in "the day"...I'm sure this clarifies it for you.

Mini, I know excatly who you are. Didn't I drag you up O'kellys Crack and Wangerbanger many moons ago?

Oh, and it's okay to slander KP all you want. I don't mind a bit.

Well, Reign 1, if I'm me, and you dragged me up O'Kellys (and others...) that'd make you Donny Bedford. If that's you then yes, I'm definitely me. How's it going man? I take it you're still climbing and carrying on. I think I've got a few shots of you at Woodson too--I'll try to post em up.

Make it up to Bishop much? Don't know if I'll make it down to this thing, but it sounds like a great time...I've seen Lidija in passing a few times up here but that's about it from the olden times. If you're ever round these parts you should stop by and check out the circus I'm running now. Maybe we can even go climbing--I've heard there's some good bouldering around here someplace, buried underneath about 12,479 crash pads, piles of $37 beanies, and 40,000 acre feet of pure spray...

"Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

Post any pictures you have of Bedford grovelling. I need a really good laugh right about now.

I think I remember you Mini. Maybe sometime when I come into the big city on an errand we can touch base. Video of KP? Hope it's not something like the time he and I were at Gordo's place in JT, when KP was crawling around on the floor with a helmet on so he wouldn't get brain damage when he ran into things like the refrigerator while he was trying to get his next brew. Then again... maybe I do hope it's something like that...

Personally, I would have asked/demanded $100's, not $1's.

Bridges was a loss. I still remember where/when I got the call about those guys.

Yeah Gary, That's me. I've been racing standup jetski's for about 9 years. Those standups are hard a hell to race and a great challenge. I got into riding them when I moved to Vegas and it was to hot to climb. My avatar photo is from Benicia in 06 hitting the log jump. They go pretty fast now. 60+ mph standing on a pencil in 2-3 ft of chop is fun.

Chris, I don't climb anymore. Henny has got me to show up and belay him a few times. He said he wanted to see me and catch up on the past. But as soon as I got to woodson he asked if I still had my Grigri and could I belay him on some stuff. I did do a couple of 5.10's up there. Dan still climbs between surfing and riding his motorcycles. I also race beginner class MX on a honda 450r. I'd do that more often but I seem to break a leg every couple years. I do alot of mountain biking and road biking now and ride up woodson at least once a week and then down one of the trails on the north side. Oh yeah, I snowboard as much as I can in the winter. Ride an O-Matic Awesome 158.
