I was a highwayman
Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive
I was a sailor
I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico

And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed

I was a dam builder

Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below

I fly a starship
Across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side

Perhaps I may become a highwayman again

Yes.
They started in Telluride and have played just a handful of shows on the East Coast- Newport Folk Festival and a few others.
Slayer covers, Black Sabbath covers, Danzig, Dio, and a bunch of old ones from Ryan Adams' catalogue. Good stuff!

hey there, say, nita...
wow, yep, we get poke up here, even... i did not know that...
you have to eat poke when very young, and small-leafed... tiny tender stuff... otherwise, it is not good for you...
(is this right, tobia?) ...
poke salad, very common down south, though not for us'all, there...
we ate cactus pads, :)
and tunas, the fruit on them...
and... oh my, say, up here, a native american family, shared how their mom
cooked various parts of the milkweed plants...
(had to be very young and tender, and not overdoing it, either) ...
here's something for the ol' tejano feelings...
as we kick-back with some nopales...
(not mentioned in the song, though) :))

fun note:
milkweed is growing great here, in my yard, but:
sadly, i can't get my poke started here...
i had a huge lovely one, at the old house, other place,
before here...
NOW, found great ones out in the wood, down the alley, but
can't pull out the deep huge root, :(
to-- plant it here...
got two, now, that just might grow, :)
be rooting for me... root-wise,
:))
they make lovely ornamental 'tree's with the flowers and
ink blue berries...
do not let kids eat them, though!!!
