damage was already done.

treating the world as personal manifest [economic at least] destiny with indifference to the autonomous nature of individuals and groups both first within "borders" and then later outside of them... has long term repercussions.

trump and co are just sealing the deal.

At this point I'd say anyone naive enough to think trump is going to be using the Whitehouse email system much is naive enough to have voted for him. The odds are better he'd be using a secure email server in St. Petersburg than conducting any 'real' business with the official email system.

It's not a gop/dem thing or a bush/hillary/trump thing - it's a technology / governance fit and behavior thing. Having every last thing word on record makes it hard to govern whether you're the president, a CEO or any other high-level position no matter what your politics.

The BushCo standard of email care was about a million times more egregious than the whole of the HRC email affair.

It all comes down to money.

As long as billions are being funneled/diverted into various "Black Ops" line items on the budget there will be no changes. A couple false flags and that's guaranteed! It's for the children of course.

Also the CIA and other three letter nightmares have a long and proud history of funding themselves via drugs, weapons, and whatever is in demand if need be.

It's corruption that runs deep, and trying to stamp it out will likely just get Trump some fresh air in Daley Plaza.

We'll see...

the same organization that brought you:

wmd in iraq
extrajudicial rendition
undermining of democratically elected governments in favor of corporatocratic strongmen the world over for at least the last 60 years...
and too many more points for me to be willing to type out on a cell phone...

ie:

is it information?
yes.

is it possibly correct?
yes.

is it [necessarily] factual?
are you kidding me: have you been awake for the last few decades?

On the other hand, if the CIA gave the actual names of the hackers in the report and the hackers admitted they acted under Russian control, that probably still wouldn't be enough for some people--including our President Elect. Everyone has to decide for himself (or herself) when a preponderance of evidence exists.

The main problem isn't with healthy skepticism, it's with going to great (and in some cases ridiculous) pains in dismissing the evidence outright without even hearing it, and acknowledging the hacking isn't a problem in the first place.

This is so presidential:

Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got "swamped" (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT. So much for....

being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary

patrick compton, that was an interesting link, TFPU.

One recent morning, I sat near two young men at a coffee shop here whom I’ve known since they were little boys. Now about 18, they pushed away from the table, and one said: “Let’s go to work. Let the liberals sleep in.”

That's funny, when I head into work at 6am I say to myself, let the red state social-security-disability-check freeloaders sleep, while us Californians get to work and pay their taxes.

I grew up in rural America, southern Indiana, as well. I still remember how cool it was when we moved to a house with indoor plumbing.

I was taught back there that hard work is rewarded. That crime does not pay. Imagine my shock when I discovered it was the other way around. That's when I became a socialist.

In state capitols across America, lawmakers spend billions of dollars to take a few seconds off a city dweller’s commute to his office, while rural counties’ farm-to-market roads fall into disrepair. Some of the paved roads in my region are no longer maintained and are reverting to gravel. For a couple of generations now, services that were once scattered across rural areas have increasingly been consolidated in urban areas, and rural towns die. It’s all done in the name of efficiency.

In cities, firefighters and E.M.T.s are professionals whose departments are funded by local, state and federal tax dollars. Rural America relies on volunteers. If I have a serious heart attack at home, I’ll be cold to the touch by the time the volunteer ambulance crew from a town 22 miles away gets here.

Yet, aren't these state legislatures in the hands of the GOP that these rural folks voted into office?

What evidence, curt? I haven't seen any and I'm guessing you nor anyone else in the electorate has seen any, at all.

We are supposed to be shown more next week.

The real truth will never be given to you.

Only thing given to you is the rope around your neck to keep you in the pen .....

Hillary and the Dems were never going to beat the PASSION of my voters. They saw what was happening in the last two weeks before Election Day, and knew they were in big trouble - which is why they cancelled their big fireworks at the last minute. THEY SAW A MOVEMENT LIKE NEVER BEFORE!
