In order to allow all the dead money on the west coast a chance to play in the weekly tournaments, I have moved the Wednesday night game to 22:00 EST.

Tournament: #86741101
Time: Wednesdays 22:00 EST
Buy In: $10 + $1
Game: N/L Holdem, double-stack

Edit: 'cause I can't spell "in"

I completely spaced the game last night. DOH!

Hopefully making Wednesday's game, but it's hard to say at the moment...I maybe out on the town...

I think starting a separate "Wednesday Night Poker" thread would boost numbers....

I was going to call you before the game, Tom, but was running around trying to finish the "surf and turf" and serve it before I sat to play, myself:-)

Moving closer to the table. :D

Easter Sunday after church and the Big (@44) family dinner I set up a table for 6, Texas Holdum. This is totally out of character for lynnie. (I sometimes think my family whispers, lynnies lost it, but I don't care....life is short and fun needed.)Then I corraled several of the best that have played in a few tournaments and learned alot.

Like after the small blind and the big blind the 3rd person can actually straddle. Also, if you're running out of chips it's sometimes best to say all in, stand up (cause you're half way out the door already :D) and go for it.

By the way, what is N/L Holdem That you play on Wed.?

Now I just have to overcome my intimidation of playing online. What if I freeze and hold up the entire game. bwahahaha, lrl

Edit: Just read boy's Wed. Thread...N/L = No Limit...what's double stack ?

Lynne don't tease !!!

N/L means No Limit as you discovered which means that at any time in any hand a player may bet any or all of their chips. This is as apposed to limit poker which limits the amount of money/ chips which a player can bet at a particular time.

Double stack refers to the amount of chips each player will start the tournament with. Full Tilt typically starts tournaments with each player holding 1500 chips. So double stack is simply a tournament where each player starts with 3000 chips. This allows for players to be a little more active.

Not ! Just have the FOF disease....(fear of failure). Don't mind losing...it's looking stupid I'd like to avoid. :}

To bad a person can't sit online in the crowd and watch.....

Edit: off to work to make a little poker nest egg.

You can "just watch" if you like. And chat with us too. Of course you wont be able to see our hole cards (starting cards held by each player), but you can watch the table and all the action !!

All you have to do is open the tournament window.

Sorry for missin' the game, fellers--2 dormers, 1 gable and 4 colors 20 feet off the deck had me pre-occupied during the bit of stellar evening weather.

I'm play Weds. night, if I don't space it:-)

here was a time when I was good at games. I would win more than my fair share. I would outsmart my opponents and I would surprise people with my skills. Nowadays I am losing at most of the games I play. I play a lot of this chess/Catan combo game called Puerto Rico with friends who are better than me and walk away a loser every time. I have been losing in Catan as well. I play poker tournaments and I’m not very good at them either. Two nights ago I had an incredibly poor beer pong session. I used to be an excellent Beirut player; now I am horrendous. And yesterday I lost at frisbee golf, a sport I was once so good at that I was considering playing in tournaments.
