Yeah, Bolton being back in the administration is scary. He was one of the ones who wanted us to keep going after "liberating" Iraq to "liberate" Iran. Fortunately there were enough sane people in the Bush II administration to prevent that. This time, who knows?

So if Trump is in his happy place in the afternoon sun, where is Nicolas Maduro? The former
bus driver will shortly mark the fifth anniversary of the start of his driving his nation to the brink. If you bought $100 worth of bolivars then your $100 investment would now be worth...
one cent
Keep the change.

Word in the Twittersphere is there is likely to be some big indictments tomorrow... I guess we'll see.
They're tweeting about the fact that Guccifer 2.0, having been proven to actually have been a high-level Russian Intelligence Officer(and not the amatuer hacker which he was portrayed to be), and that some of Trump campaigners accepted information from him.
I'm just ready for it to stop, already. What a f*#ked up place we're in. Who could have guessed the internet would take us down these roads, back in the day when we would listen to the buzzing of modems and the "You've got mail!" alerts?

Msnbc is reporting the Gucifer news now, we are on the brink of some bad sh1t happening. Mattis and Kelly are the only sane ones left, and Kelly is about to get tossed under the bus.

This thing is a gold mine. I can’t wait until it goes into reruns. I wonder how high his approval rating will climb now?
The Trumpman Show has been running non-stop since the late 1970s, and has always been a gold mine. The episodes ran the gamut from reopening a decrepit NYC hotel, to the mistress Marla Maples boasting about "The Best Sex Of My Life". All of it was out there for everyone to see before the election, but apparently they didn't have Google in the Midwest back then.
What we are seeing, right now, are reruns of episodes that first ran in 2006. Pretty soon, we'll see reruns of episodes from 2010-2014 that show dirty money coming from you-know-where being laundered through expensive NYC tower apartments coming from you-know-who.
Approval ratings and viewer ratings are two different things. Nobody approved of Charles Manson, but everybody tuned in to see what would happen to him.

Investigator Mueller's new TV show should be called Friday Night Indicts.
He pulls some names out of a MAGA hat, and Friday night indicts them.
Fearful of losing his position of power, he systematically eliminated those closest to himself.

This is too f*#king weird. I wake up in the morning, every morning, wondering what happened while I slept; how much lower can he go? I never imagine the depths that are possible. I've been trying to formulate some sort of response to this, but can't just be a single weirdo standing in the street with a sign. Maybe I should be, don't know. Our Constitution says the president has to get approval from Congress before declaring war; this check has been eroded (quite) a bit. Is there any hope rational minds will prevail? What do the Russians have on the Trumpster? Never thought our president would be the agent of our destruction. Bolton? Holy sh#t.

Yep!
Per Stevep's mention of the news:
Now he's replaced McMaster with uber-hawk and neocon John Bolton. Somehow I don't feel safer.
CBS is advertising they will be featuring "Porn-Star" Stormy Daniels on 60 Minutes this Sunday. She will be interviewed about her brief sexual-relationship with Trump, (while he was married) and all the schist she went through, when she decided to publicize it.
Of course Trump would create his own distraction to that bad news by firing another cabinet member & hiring someone that is perhaps crazier than our "felon in chief."

Stormy Daniels has said little, or nothing, about her affair with Trump. I haven't seen everything, but she seems cagey about letting the story come from somewhere other than herself.
The WSJ broke the story about the hush-money payment in January 2017. A few days later, In Touch magazine published a Stormy Daniels interview from 2011. Her friends, such as another porn star whom Trump propositioned with a five-figure fee as if she was a prostitute, have been going public with what they know. Stormy Daniels went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and didn't say anything about the affair, despite Kimmel's attempts to elicit confirmation about lurid details from the In Touch magazine interview.
Daniels' attorney has probably instructed her to not violate the NDA, until such time that the courts render it invalid. She can talk and talk and talk, but not about the affair itself.
From my position here in the cheap seats, it sure looks like her attorney has his act together, and that he is going to be mopping the floor with Trump, Cohen, and Co.
EDIT:
A contract in furtherance of an illegal purpose (e.g. violation of campaign finance laws) is inherently invalid.

Sorry, but I just have to check in on the Crazy Show from time to time. You guys are priceless--and so in the know! I hear y'all have it "on good authority" this time. Well done.
Awwwww heck, let's just swear in Pence, already! Man, I wish I still ate popcorn.

Trump looks like he wants to go down as the MAD President: the Mutually-Assured Destruction President.
Or, perhaps more appropriately, the Mexican Standoff President.
He's like a suicide bomber in a crowd with his finger on the button, warning the authorities to keep their distance.
This is how Trump will be remembered:
NEVER AGAIN!

Trump's nominees still must be approved by congress. Wonder if they'll exercise their responsibility wisely?
Not Bolton.
National security advisor does not require Senate confirmation.
