"The guy's a complete womanizing A**."

That seems to pale in comparison to being a scorned, lying skeezer.

Lady, you have no idea...

You've only heard the PG-13 ones.

Maybe I should go open a bottle of Crown Royal and get myself banned...

Ivy can climb faster than him.

Even my wife has PtHP stories, the day they climbed together, he cried. And not the "I'm a sensitive guy" kind of cry, the "I want my mommie" kind...

You people see someone's name in a magazine and all of a sudden they are "Badass climbers" to you.

skeezer. 1. The collective name for scorned women who post on internet message boards seeking to discredit and villify former boyfriends. 2. one who commits slander per se, by alleging a false STD. 3. make up your own definition...

hey elcapfool, I was wondering, could you kindly explain to me how to tie the canadian death knott?

Hi Janet,

Yep, these boys play hard. I bet if you took a good look, it is part of why you like it here. It can be fun to play hard.

You had the courage to own up to your mistake, I applaud that, but there is more to do if you want to stay and play here. A thicker skin is probably a good start. That and the ability to recognize when people are just yanking your chain. You have one part figured out, when you screw up and are called on it, then own it. Whiners are not appreciated and will be tormented ceaselessly. That is just the way that it is. Don't want to be tormented, then don't whine. All of this does not mean that people here will suddenly start trusting you. It is only the start of gaining trust. You might not ever gain some peoples trust, but you might gain their grudging respect. Don't want it, then expect to be flamed hard. Want their respect? haha, then expect to occasionally be called to the carpet and occasionally be flamed hard. That is part of how you grow stronger.

What does this have to do with anything? Those that play in the wild like to know how their partners are going to hold up under duress. If you can't take a bit of bashing now and then and do it gracefully, then you probably wont stand up when things get hard outdoors. The same standard applies in relationships. Nobody wants to tie in with someone who wilts at the first sign of trouble or gets pissy when things don't go their way.

If you are a hottie, then most of your weaknesses have probably been ignored. The thing is, hotness only takes you so far in life. If you want the whole enchilada, then you have to supply the rest. I know that this is unsolicited advice, but at some point you have to figure out why you were attracked to Pete. If he truly is a womanizer, then why did you hook up with him? If it was just that you were blind, then don't blame Pete for your blindness and if you could see that he was fast and loose with the women, then you have to ask yourself why you went ahead.

The path forward is not through Pete, it is through yourself. You can not change Pete, you can only work on yourself. Good luck with that.

Moosie

It's a simple matter of taking two ropes that could easily support a pick-up truck and arranging them in an elaborate fashion, so that they hold body weight, right up to the point when the wind shifts...

Take a tail, tie a munter, now take the other tail and tie another munter around the first tail. Then tie both loose ends around the rope they lie against with an overhand knot. It might sound a little sketchy, but it has the benefit of untying REALLY easily...
All you have to do is jug up to it, unweight it, then shake it!
Voila!

I've been practicing that knott for 15 minutes and can't seem to get it right. Maybe I should just stick with the euro death knott?

Matt edit: whoa... I just visualized that knott. Ted never did explain it to me very well. The CA sez he never tied it either. I'm starting to think ropes don't exist.

There is no rope(spoon).

The Euro is actually a valid knot with real word application.

He never denied tying it,he insisted that it was safe.

Two opposed load release knots? And people still listen to his "tips"??? The words "release" and "fixed" seem pretty mutually exclusive to me...
The absolute last thing I am looking for in a knot joining two ropes together is easy releasablity.

To borrow a phrase, "Shesh"

yeah, I'm sorta playing games with the terms here. "death knot" brings up visions of, well, um, death. I'm sure we're both glad that Ted didn't take the 3000 foot whipper and suffer that fate. The visualization of that knott (honestly) just hit me. "Sheesh" is right.

But yes, two opposed load-release knots == the better way™™™™ (and isn't that what it's all about?)

And with the photo perhaps include the story of the time you (and two others including the one that shoulda died) witnessed it tied.

In other irrelevant news, I did not manage to contract a STD from myself last night.

And I thought the Canadian Death Knot was what I saw these two kratoys do in Pattaya one time....
