Careful with that 1554 stuff...packs a punch like a bottle of codeine cough syrup.
Tasty beer but a little goes a long way!

Great summation and pictures, Gregg!
I have to say, you are also an important part of Facelift - Skip and I are lucky to be able to call you a friend.
Thanks for all you do, as well.

Facelift was a good time this year. Thanks to Ken for all his efforts, and thanks to Skip and Eric for being good hosts once again, and tolerating all our MIA friends.

This was my 4th year at Facelift and it seemed like the most fun yet for me. The highlights were really wonderful conversations with a bunch of very interesting people. There were lovely people sharing our campsite in Upper Pines and a large group next door from Berkeley REI were also very fun to hang out with. Riding my bicycle from Upper Pines to the Visitor Center and then down around the El Cap Meadow loop was great fun and worked my legs. In the trash cleaning department, I particularly enjoyed cleaning 5 lbs of mostly water bottles out of the steep loose gully on the right side of Vernal Falls below the Mist Trail. Challanging and satisfying, but next year I will bring a rope for a hand line. Even got some climbing in: Tenaya Peak on Saturday afternoon and After Seven on Monday. Very fun.
All of my photos of people with their trash bags and grabbers can be seen on facebook at #yosemitefacelift and #yosemiteclimbersassociation. All of my Meatfest photos can be seen on the Facebook: Yosemite Facelift Meatfest page.
Here are a few photos that I want to share here as well.

Random shots from Facelift 2015
Thanks to Ken. He's the Man! Thanks to all who supported, participated, and spread the love for the Worlds Greatest Ditch, Yosemite Valley.
I had a great time and saw many old friends, made many new friends, and drank some beer! Cheers, until next year.....

Great shots, Tony.
FYI, the AAC was our coolest group campers in Upper Pines.
Thanks for that.

I had a Blast at FL 2015. My sorrow.....I had to go back to work (but in the best place in the world) and missed the Joyous Frolicking Sat and Sun. Dang, no dancing for lynnie or musica. Maybe next year.

you must be in a bad mood dude. 360 something days a year there aren't any banners yet Yosemite still gets 4 million visitors a year. Something must be drawing them..must be the deli pizza.

Don't think so BIOTCH. The mountain is there. It delineates Everything.
And, that's why we're there. :) Of course cheers and joy, lynnie.

Try looking beyond your own vision of things sometime.
You might find some sense of community beyond "Locals Only".
What a downer, and just a foolish thing to post in the context of this thread.
There are a lot of people giving up their personal time to bridge the gap in an already-disconnected community.

Highlights:
Timid Top Rope is a strange fellow - VERY strange
Anastasia makes me feel quiet and reflective, only person on Earth so far so I keep her close
Crowley is basically exactly the same in person and his son mike is cool as phuck
Joey F is a super handsome dude, felt weird standing near him
Great conversations with TYeary and Prezwoods
Getting some kind of virus/STD in that cramped peice of sh#t standing room only hallway and shivering sweat for 3 days portering loads in mammoth
Hooking up with nobody despite meeting several desperate young women/men, I think you have to take them up El Cap first????
Realizing that the majority of DNC employess have mild autism
Ummm....
left early so no meatfest...
yeah. People were super cool. worth going again.

Seems typical of a negative Byotch post.
Great thread to sh#t on.
Love that Lynn Hill stretching pic.
Dare I suggest the raffle was rigged as a nod or even apology to Mr. Jensen? Pretty easy to do.
Looked like a great time.

Good post, DMT, and thanks for that early morning chuckle.
Paul's pic is funny as heck and I totally blitzed by it earlier--nice pics all.
Like Paul, this was my fourth Facelift, but the first I've only attended for a day. It's turned into a central life event for me, like a lot of you, the dedicated vols and trash-pickers and team project workers whose deeds are often unsung but enormously appreciated.
Here's a giant hug/silent shout-out for all you folks who know the satisfaction of having done something like this for NO recompense--free camping, all the rest.
Volunteerism, at its best, is also leadership. Chickenskinner wears his badge as Facelift marshal well. (I'm so looking forward to next year's event, Ken.)
