Yeah, the flowers in the Gorge are going off. MrE, I think the one you didn't name is a Four O'Clock.

Guy it was really nice down there today. We skied above Aspendell and went into B-town for grub. It sure felt like low 60's and was real nice to thaw out before heading back up the hill to the snow again.

Maybe the road will stay that way for awhile.
Give the boulders a deserved break.
Reminds me of the Buttermilk Rd washout around 2010.

I was told that they won't bother fixing buttermilk road until spring because they hope that they'll only have to do it once. There have been storms every week for the last couple months this year.

They worked on it last week, enough to get up to the boulders, but after yesterday?

I was just up at the Milks today. The road is pretty bad but 4wd and some clearance will get you there. Tried to get up to the Bday Boy parking area and that isn't happening unless you got some M/T tires and a locker. With the next storms coming in I wouldn't be surprises if it gets completely washed out.

Ruppell thanks, I'm going up tomorrow if I feel any better.
I got to the gate & didn't want push my luck. The mud was pretty deep & I've been sick for a week & wasn't getting out of the truck in the mud & snow.
Why would you need a snow plow?
Guy, the temps are really nice, come on up. Hopefully I'll get over this cold by next weekend. Or there is always LJ's.

Took a drive out to the tablelands yesterday. Too wet to climb- so we went petroglyph hunting.

They worked on it last week, enough to get up to the boulders, but after yesterday? Ok, so two questions. One, is the road (still) doable now? Was planning on getting up there in a couple of weeks.
Two, where are those petroglyphs? From the photos and what people have written, I'm assuming it's on the tablelands north of the Happies and Sads, but not sure how far. I'd love to show my kids those. Really cool stuff. If you want to keep it on the DL, you can shoot me a private email at ssosa@earthlink.net
