I Had a plan
To stand and
Take snaps once the
Tempest had past and to
Capture the fresh fall of snow
Under the glow of this
January full moon.
Alas the lass - my daughter was
the last to use the camera,
She Did not know of her fathers plan
And so while not on purpose
But still a 2:30 am
I can not find it

I Can not wake more than the dog
Here in the small snow bound home
Now I've woken the saintly better half
She has no idea where the camera could be
and rolls away saying
Stay in
I do not want you to fall
Snow bank sleeping is for younge
Inebriated,
and what for who are these
Moon shots for?
FOUND it
I persevered under hats and coats in only half light , and low battery
But life for pictures they will soon be posted here!

(All Shots Raw, the way they uploaded from the capture-it machine , No Photo shop . . . YET)

Gnome, Great narrative! I still like raw, unshopped stuff, mainly because it's real.

real, or the closest thing to it given this context, remains elusive ...

a full accounting, the odyssey of a single photon from the sun to your satisfied mind,
passes through so many layers of interpretation along the way, at least in this electronic medium,
that a little charity granted to the editor of an image (read photoshopper) seems reasonable. editorial decisions
were made by manipulative technologists starting with the specifics of the coating on the front lense.

your reaction however, deserves absolute respect, it being the last bastion of certitude.
refer to "what is mind" for further discussion and likely rebuttal

Clearly, what the sharp eyed Hooblie is alluding to
is that there is a shadow on the moon, in my last snap it was not 'shopped', though
here is what it is, or was (and i was freezing my pitutty off)
I like the way it came out
but yes . . .
no skeleton jaw bone exists ...

Hooblie, "last bastion of certitude". lmao.

Sorry, I love all the photos, not just the "real" ones.

It's just that the image of Gnome sneaking around in the semi dark to find his camera and then brave snow drifts to take a photo of the full moon, is reality at it's best...just my opinion. What ever picture he would have taken would have been a fav for me. Happy Sunday and cheers to all, lynnie.
