I think the folks who got dismissed (if that is indeed what happened, could be a hack) were handed their hats and shown the door because their signal-to-noise ratio was way off the charts, and any propsective new users exploring supertopo for the first time would take one glance at our typical front page and run, not walk, but run for dear life in the opposite direction.
From the perspective of CMac's business model, it's the equivelent of a floor manager quietly asking a very drunk, very beligerant person to leave the premises. Makes sense. I'd long ago taken to simply scrolling past Fattrad's posts without so much of a glance. But the sheer weight and volume of his bellowing nonsense could stunt a team of oxen in it's tracks. The effort involved in ignoring him was becoming cumbersome, and led to a lot of scrolling. He nuked a lot of otherwise promising theads with his disrptive and not-at-all wittly declarations and non-sequiters.
I expect they'll all be allowed to attend recess once again, after a brief "time-out" in the Dunce chair.
