The jobs numbers recently released are (intentionally) distorted and not indicative of a healthy economy.

Most of the newer jobs touted are 'second jobs' or temporary jobs (until people can find real jobs in their field).

After Romney cuts the minimum wage, and cuts the tax rates on the Rich. The Economey will improve, Right?

This makes more sense. People who weren't fooled into the 'housing boom' that Fannie/Freddie offered, are now starting to look at buying houses at reasonable prices and reasonable rates.

And the popping of the unsustainable housing bubble has little to do with Bush or Obama, but I wouldn't blame Obama for taking credit for the 'housing recovery'. He'd be stupid not to.

Karl is right; Reagan raised taxes and worsted of it he reformed the tax code under the disguise of simplification in short he eliminated most tax deductions common to the middle class. Before any interest you paid you could deduct such as; second home, car loan, personal loan, any interest at all was deductible after just your home and medical is deductible. Ronny is no hero of mine. But’ By just that one move think of the billions in taxes it raised? Most if which was spent on rebuilding the military that Jimmy Carter stripped billions to the Navy for new Subs and carriers. Billions to the Air Force for new aircraft the B1b bomber project that Jimmy canceled the F117 stealth fighter the B2 stealth Bomber, up grades on all the land base nukes. And Oh yes the phony star wars project. That broke the USSR. Without firing a shot!

b) If McCain had been elected, you'd consider those numbers dipped in gold and indisputable.

Four more years in delaying the economic recovery. If you are rich, four more years isn’t that long. You people need to understand the folks that run this economy (big biz) will just wait for more favorable time to invest their money. Until that happens no recovery.

Yes. And no. Jimmy Carter's Community Reinvestment Act was the genesis of Fannie/Freddie.

Liberalism feels good, but is a mental disorder. It is not founded in logic.

As for another thread that is OT? Piss off if you don't like it. The other threads move too quickly with too many snide comments. There is no real discussion. Just circle-jerking.

I like the old bluering better, the guy that used to celebrate his friends and partners. This new anti-social bluering is a sad reminder of that old bluering, the likable one.

And the more I realize it and the older I've gotten, yeah, I am anti-social to a high degree.

I generally do not like people. I can no longer be comfortable around clueless and moronic people. There are those I can handle, many of them with good pleasure, but they are people I choose to be around.

I just dislike people in general, not in particular.
