i think what this thread proves is that skiers are much better at being whiny little crybabies than snowboarders.

skiers never seem to bitch about me breaking trail for them in 2' of fresh. of course, i never bitch about having to wait for them at the top. it's funny watching them flail around on their little skinny sticks trying to get a skintrack in. i guess i'd feel a little inadequate, too. especially when their gf is checking my steez and generally wondering why she is hanging out with some flailing skier kook wearing a nords face fagbag. maybe the indignant butthurt is justified?

see ya at the bottom, skqueers. tell your gf to quit calling me...

You seem to be a good candidate for my BC posse. As our official snowboard member you will have special privileges. You will always get first tracks. We promise to do our best to dig you out as needed. (a good slope tester is valuable). However if you fail to tumble suspect slopes properly we will have to find a replacement. Floating highspeed turns is not considered sufficient stability testing.

Thanks for the bump Tony.

Heading to Alta for a little skxiing later on.

Had a great day in the powder and manzanita on slide peak at Snow Valley a couple weeks ago.

Think Snow!

Looking forward to a Pinos trip coming soon. Almost caught up at work.

Saved??

Been around a thousand years or more..not too worried..still be around if people are in another 1000 years.

I was mentally designing big fat sidecut boards in 89. Just made sense if you thought about it when using 223s in the BC. I made an insert for regular bindings by cutting a ski with ramers mounted to it and bolting them to a ski boot bottom. Go heavy or go home lol.

Stability, speed, float and turning. If those were your goals it was obvious what to do.

Yup. Trendy people who go one or two days a year just to say they did.

You're so right.

moosedrool, i don't let skiers drag me around on their boring, meandering tours. flailing around in low angle trees and meadows, no thanks.

and i never walk at the resort, especially one as non-flat as k-wood. years of riding at Brighton taught me that trick. keep your base waxed, pick a fall-line and keep your speed up. can't just dick around wondering where to go like you can on skis.

goddammit i want some snow. this month-long high pressure bullshit is making me grumpy.

You bought a pass at a resort.

Then complain that here are snowboarders.

Don't go to the ski resort.

There are lots of places to ski where there are no snowboarders.

Stop whinning. Grow a pair.

that pole vault ski pole actually looks pretty fun. i'm going to bring one when they open Alta to snowboarders and just use it to whack all the skiers upside the head as i sideslip down the hill scraping off all the good snow and shaving down the bumps. bang my board in the lift line and spray loudly about how "gay" Alta is, using the c-word in every sentence. then i'll upper-deck at least two toilets on the mountain, do a high speed groomer run through the families on Home Run, leave and never give em another cent.

Didn't see any slack jawed troglodite

knuckle draggers in that Clouds Rest post.

You should check that out.

is that pole manufactured for skiing?

or is that a tele SUP?

"Free the heel free the mind"

"fix the heel fix the problem"

Why does anyone care what other people do on the snow.

Can you just do what you like without comparing it to what others are doing?

Hey do it all.

WTF

Even dudes in "fringe sports" feel the need to "belong".

How lame.
