Elephant seals near San Simeon ( California ).
These guys are as big as my truck, which allows them to lay around for weeks at a time, and not have to worry about being bothered.

Bugs are wildlife too!!
A bunch of us odonate nerds got our ode on in Tahoe last week, so here's a couple of shots, including a very confused mixed species pair. Since dragonfly genitalia are so specialized, you almost never see this sort of thing, especially not across different genera.

Scuffy B, Nope. Meadowhawk on the left, whiteface on the right. Odonoate sex is kooky: the male has some accessory gear in its 2nd or 3rd abdominal segments, including a sperm reservoir. When he's feeling the need, he self-inseminates from where the sperm are produced in the 9th segment
and then runs out and grabs a female by the back of the neck. If she's feeling receptive, she curls up and inseminates herself from that reservoir. Thus the wheel.
Damsels are a little different in that the male usually grabs the female first, and then has to do the whole self-insemination thing while they're in tandem. I don't have any shots of that move, but this gives you the idea (he's either halfway there, or just finished):
Kids, don't try this at home!
