drove in this afternoon. posting from the 'rents house. psyched to do some bouldering. afraid of what i'm gonna find out when i try to pull -- last time i bouldered was like in june or july. damn near broke my ankle in august and still walk with a limp. not sure if i'm fat or skinny -- arms like limp noodles and a wannabe pus gut. oh, the horror!

One day is enough, any of you ol' f*&ks go out for secret training ahead of time, you will be deservedly trashed come the main event.

Ummmm... Anybody else find that sequence of comments odd?
Watusi/Mike - I think it's more about a bunch of people just getting together, at least I hope so. From the sounds of it the only competition is going to be trying to avoid being the last one up the hill.
The ? before Rick's (Piggot) name - Means he's been contacted, but isn't sure yet if he can make it?

I get conflicting / confusing info on who's coming and who might come. I really don't know if Rick is coming or if he's been contacted or not. I'm hoping he is! If someone could let me know I'll take the "?" away.

so i'm hitting woodson tommorrow if anyone wants to join. i'm gonna start with hear my train -- attempt it anyway -- then work my way up the hill for two or three hours. i'm probably gonna be booting up at the train by 11am or thereabouts.
so out of shape. this could get ugly...

(The secret training smack talk was actually aimed at the Friday of Shindig weekend. Any old F*#k who can do two full days there, back to back, will have my unconditional respect!)

Oh boy... The shoe doper. Some good stories behind that name. We'll certainly miss Dan.
BH - I'll buy that. Reading your first comment in the light of what you "meant" makes sense. But the choice of words "secret training" in both posts sure did open the door. Then again, I intend to come down there and get in some secret training of my own - hopefully there's enough time to get the hike up the road ruthlessly wired.
Some pictures from the excursion today would only be fitting.

Now I've already forgotten the username of "John" that I met on Woodson today, that asked me to put his name on "The List". It was Chas (with an "s") and ? I'll use "John" until I remember or am told otherwise. Thanks guys for signing up and for your hospitality up on Woodson.
I think I pulled a sternum muscle, darn it and I didn't even climb hard today. Got suckered into "warming up" on Californina Night right off the bat. Although successful, I almost puked pulling over the top! Thanks John for your sandbag efforts and convincing me to do it instead ;-)
