Nah.

How odd, Gnome. I walked out to the store and went to the BofA to check my balance first. I was kinda woozy, not enough air, too much phlegm, just over 100 degree heat. But I did not falter. I managed.

In the parking lot I was nearly impressed by a much newer 'vette, same color, too; but the ding-a-ling tromped on the gas and did a fast U-turn into a parking slot simply because he could, there being not a single car parked there. I hadda yell out, a la RATSO RIZZO, "Hey, I'm walkin' here!"

And I hocked up that gob of phlegm and let fly at him. It landed two feet from his passenger door. I coulda hit his windshield easy-peasey.

Fatheads abound, eh?

That little waterfall looks so inviting.

I know a place on the S. Fork of the Tuolumne, an easy short hike, with a cold-water spa and a small riverside glen perfect for rolling around with the love of your life.

It's near Sunset Inn, so it got torched in the Rim fire, I'm fairly certain.

That day on my honeymoon is one of the most perfect memories I retain.

It is amazin' to me, now, to realize it's been twenty-five years this November.

Some of you might really enjoy the Ag Museum's collection of old shizz.

Charlie's never around the Ag Museum when I go by there. There is a sign on the door, though, with his phone number.

It's between Merced and Planada on Hwy 140.

I have his number here somewhere, but not sure what I did with it.

I know my vision isn't all that's it's cracked up to be, but are there two Waldos?

Is seeing believing or is that some off the wall crack of Carlos C.?

My nephew just won a case he argued before the California Supreme Court.

Not the Suprema court, like the real one.

Shazam, you say?

I'm all danced out. Phew!

Time for bed, if I can sleep, that is.

Maybe a story would help me fall asleep. The Elephants of Tunapuna. I don't remember reading this one.
And some soft music.[Click to View YouTube Video]
Here's the new NG, with a story that saddens me immensely.

It's about ivory harvesting in Africa.

Liz, bless her soul, loved elephants more than anyone I ever knew.

We attended the circus in Fresno and saw a huge herd on display, about twenty, I'm thinkin'. Terri, her bbf drove us down to the arena in Fresno.

We got to look the herd over before we went in to take seats.

Need I say they were awesome performers?

Liz, as I may have mentioned, kept a collection of over 400 different elephant figures.

I admired that she took HER WHOLE HERD one year to the County Fair and set them all out for display. She got a blue ribbon.

So this article should be read, I think. That's all I'm sayin'.

I'll show you some scans from the article, like 4,000 words worth.
It's the stuff of nightmares for someone like my gal.

Pleasant dreams.

Midnight trolling is against the State F&W Regs.

The lure of the rocks
And the lure of the streams
Like two great big beacons
One glows and one gleams

They never fail to attract us
Like a bright shiny spoon
Trolled slowly and deeply
By the light of the moon

The Daily Run-Through
A Flames Publication

The editor wishes to extend the deadline for today.

He's been sleeping heavily [At last, at last, he's slept at last!] and bathing briskly and hasn't got the goings-on in focus yet.

He also got some clothing items washed while in the shower-tub a bit ago, however.

Consequently, he feels like a million bucks right now.

He went out and photographed the sunrise @ 6:00 to 6:30 and then had hot chocolate with milk and promptly fell asleep.

The editor needs to fortify right now for a great Friday.

More chocolate sounds good, along with some yogurt and some eye-tie sausage patties with toast.

Then maybe he will go knock a few minutes off of Alex's solo record on the Nose.

ARRGH!! Shiver me timbers if I won't run you through, mate!! ARRGH!!
