The disgusting thing to me is that for a few weeks this guy was elevated to a conservative folk hero and support for him was expressed be several leading Republican presidential hopefuls.

Not one volt of that power will go to Nevada. Not one. It is all going to... Los Angeles
Chuff apparently doesn't understand that the electrical grid is interconnected. Perhaps the words "Enron" and "Gray Davis" ring a bell? You might also note, Huff-n-Chuff, electrical use is not measured in volts.
Meanwhile, Cliven "The Grand Wizard" Bundy, Professor of Negro Studies at David Duke University keeps digging his hole deeper:
"If I say 'negro' or 'black boy' or 'slave,' I'm not -- if those people cannot take those kind of words and not be offensive (sic) then Martin Luther King hasn't got his job done yet," he added
Yes, please educate us on MLK, you ignurt ass cracker.

They were eating OUR grass and then threatened to use force against anyone who tried to stop him. Sounds like the Feds used force to protect my property which is exactly what you'd be arguing should have happened were this guy dark skinned spouting anti-white drivel while swearing violent jihad if anyone tried to stop him.
As the great jurist DMT has noted (if I understand him correctly), it's helpful to understand that government grass is NOT "our grass" or "your grass" or "my grass." It's not 1/300,000,000 ours. It's the government's, and you don't own diddly squat percent of it or have the right to do anything with it.
But we do have at least some say in how the government is run by voting, and the government is theoretically somewhat accountable to the people.
The upshot of this is I'm more interested in the apparent federal bungling of this matter for decades if not longer, and which seems to be continuing. It's slightly interesting to me that none of you seem remotely interested in the fact that we seem to have an inept, out-of-control government, which may actually affect our own lives, rather than the fact that there's a kooky old rancher in rural Nevada who is almost certainly in the process of self destruction, which really doesn't.
(DMT may not be 100% right-- for example, there's something called the "public trust doctrine," which may seem to conflict with DMT's rule. But his rule is close enough to being right that it's the best way to think about it.)

Lolz. So naive, it's almost cute.
Here's the thing - the govt...ANY govt, anywhere is always "inept, out-of-control". If you think this is somehow a new, recent development you must have skipped history class or not been paying attention. Our ability to correct the ineptness of govt is small, slow, and incremental. Conversely, our ability to reign in some scofflaw racist hick is easily accomplished.
It's like digging the Panama canal with a spoon vs. crushing a cockroach with your boot.

Ron posted Ive watched state rights and sovereignty be degraded and stomped upon. Even our own natl guards are now being disarmed - their weaponry given to agencys such as homeland security- a nefarious agency directly tied to washington
The Department of Homeland Security has ties to Washington? I think we'll need some documentation on that one, Ron. If it's true then I agree with you that it's much better for those weapons to be in the hands of the National Guard which as we all know is a transparent agency controlled by a Department located near the Maryland/Virginia border, not some nefarious Washington DC outfit.
Keep dropping these truths, Ron!

Chuff you are poorly informed deeply delusional and repetitively boorish.
the picture you keep posting has nothing at all to do with Bundy and the BLM.
That is a pic from the ground breaking on a solar farm on Indian lands near Laughlin, Nv.
Not even in the same part of Nevada.
Try getting informed (for real) before sputtering ignorance from your "shet" hole.

Holy crap, bravecowboy. That's hilarious.
Chief posted BLM Land Grabs then selling it off (The Peoples Land) to corporations for what ever private use they wish to do on it.
Had that been the Repub Senator (D Heller) in the photo below, you libs would be screaming bloody corporate greed murder.
The idea that liberals don't call out democrats for privatizing public land is hilariously uninformed.

Harry Reids comments still burn the arse of every Nevadan here. He is a democrat - that called the states people he represents " domestic terrorists"
Ron, you are aware that Harry Reid was referring only to the armed militia members with their guns aimed at federal employees, right?
Proof that the counter of a gun & ammo store in Nevada is a bad place to make decisions on public policy.

So it's ok to destroy public land for personal gain so long as you aren't literally strip mining. Got it.

No actually, many of them don't. That's why we detest them. Turns out you don't have to pay taxes when you write the tax code.
Anyhoo...still trying to shift conversation away from defending a racist thief?

The reason they now ARM IRS AGENTS is the plan to use those in similar ways against others as well. Why the hell else would they arm such people?
Uh, maybe becasue there are a growing group of wingnut militia, "sovereign citizen" types out there who are itching for a chance to confront any govt agent with their AR-15s?
Pretty damn simple, numpty. They are arming them for their own protection, against armed, batshit crazy fux like you who want to shoot them for doing their f*#king job.
