In the Flames tradition of not overwhelmingly signicant but still interesting recitals:

Folk/avant-garde guitarist John Fahey recorded several songs in the early 1960s experimented with unusual recording techniques, including backwards tapes, and novel instrumental accompaniment including flute and sitar. His nineteen-minute "The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party" "anticipated elements of psychedelia with its nervy improvisations and odd guitar tunings".

Eventually, Fahey moved south to Los Angeles to join UCLA's folklore master's program at the invitation of department head D. K. Wilgus. He received an M.A. in folklore in 1966

But as far as I know John Fahey was not a band.

He never called himself psycho_delic that I recall.

It's All History Now, Baby Blue

Yesterday I slept until I woke.
I was given a hand by Laurie's call.
"Meet me at Joe On the Go."
So dosie-doh, it's just across the bridge.

She had a big messy breakfast sandwich--
The kind you finally end up using a fork to eat.
She paid for my latte and I paid for my soup--
Chicken a la mex.

I didn't want to end our little tryst,
So we rode the bus to Save Mart
Where we separated (alas, lass, goodbye)--
And I went walk-in to the VA.

Post-nasal drip, headaches,
No fever/chills, take these pills--
(Don't bother to call me in the morning)
And buy a saline nasal irrigator.

A lot of rest, not much to eat,
A bit of belly-rumble from the meds.
Today I walked it off to the coffee shop
And got home before it rained.

A good day for staying inside.[Click to View YouTube Video]Sasha Novak.

Hey-Now Psilocyborg,

I deleted the original email, but it was a correct address possibly hijacked somehow.

We have talked back and forth through that address.

Everything seems ok

BTW mfm

how long have you been sick.

I got started on New Year's day. Two of my nephews are also sick as is Chele's mama.

I though I would wake up this morning feeling good.

Nope.

BTW illness may be raining down on us.

Viruses-lots of them-are falling from the sky

Suttle and colleagues at the University of Granada and San Diego State University wanted to know how much of that material is carried up above the atmospheric boundary layer above 2,500 to 3,000 metres. At that altitude, particles are subject to long-range transport unlike particles lower in the atmosphere.

Using platform sites high in Spain’s Sierra Nevada Mountains, the researchers found billions of viruses and tens of millions of bacteria are being deposited per square metre per day. The deposition rates for viruses were nine to 461 times greater than the rates for bacteria.

I am mediocre sick.

I still have slight headaches but am running out of pain reliever.

I am breathing better and my coughing spasms have subsided.

Taking 4 Cephalexin 500mg/day and rinsing the nose with saline.

I could (maybe) jump over a sleeping yellow dog and land upright.

I could (possibly) take my grandson Jake in an arm wrestling contest. He's twelve or so, so it'd be pretty even.

I definitely could handle two of the puppies on a short walk.

Middle of the road, like I toldya.

But I got a smile for everyone I meet.

Lady gave me a chocolate bar on the bus this morning, too.

I feel compelled to warn you that there is considerable upbeat instrumental music in this CLASSIC VIDEO.

TOP & bottom)Pudding Stone Arete, A very memorable place.
I'm hoping that when he gets cold & tired, finished surfing off LBI, in NJ
"Gunkie" will chime in.
He may have an earlier record of names for the easier lines? Below) The scary start of the Moisturizer at the Sun-Bowl cliff, the Gunks NY
still not in any guide or database.
It now takes a long walk to be able to pull down at this special space. As the tumbling weeds go this ones' passing holds a special place.

Dr Hook & the Medicine Show vocalist and percussionist Ray Sawyer has died aged 81.
He died “peacefully in his sleep” after a brief illness, according to his wife, Linda Sawyer.[Click to View YouTube Video]
Sawyer was a founding member of the Chocolate Papers, a trio from the American south that split in the late 1960s.
After leaving the group, Sawyer decided he was “going insane from too much beans and music”
and decided to pursue a career as a logger in Oregon. He got into a car crash en route and lost an eye.
After the accident, he vowed to return to music. He joined Dr Hook & the Medicine Show.
The Alabama-based group featuring all the former members of the Chocolate Papers.
Although Dennis Locorriere was the band’s lead singer, Sawyer’s eye patch,
flamboyance & cowboy/hippie attire made him the group’s most distinctive member.

Kickin` it all the way from here to there & Norway
gotta say I'd not seen this (2005, a bit harsh -still)

Inbred Festivities

Our mixed up aunt stepmother
and her halfwit cousin brother
showed up at Christmas dinner
brawlin’ with someone or the other

Then a ruckus sparked with sister wife
and uncle father if you’d ruther
we told them in so many words
not to take their feuding further

then the meth lab caught on fire
as the smoke began to bother
and the goats hopped on the table
in the melee and the pother

Our nephew sons and cousin daughters
got to pawing and to breathing
as the holiday went tits up
it gave no pause to mindless breeding

So if you chance to find relations
joined like dogs in fornication
spray them with the garden hose
and smack them squarely on the nose

The courts will finalize divorce
for the irreconcilable of course
but when romance with a sibling dies
don’t expect that it’ll break all ties

It’s the family and their relations
that can wreck well planned vacations
so book your flights and fly alone
and hire a lawyer when you get home
