Trying hard to be better received; I have taken to pre-writing in a corrective site/app thingy.
I break it with regularity to my own hilarity & devastation
I'd cut but not copy/saved, planning on pasting a reply as to why the legless brainiac, an absolutely amazing person, inspiring on many fronts, is also an arrogant punter.(from 1st hand experience, as well from talking with his peers & students.)
His life's trajectory was defined by climbing & his accident and that he was in fact ...
then well...
I got excited by the images here, so stalled tarried a bit
That tune (zB wat the who?)
this is all that remains saved instead:
It is just as well.
I know the alternative history, that those that also know
may or may not choose to tell.
Ha!
If you knew Hugh(Y) as many remember, you might check the gratuitous expressions of greatness & kudos or at least temper them.
I had written out a whole review, then thought better of posting the whole thing.
Then while I was thinking on the reason to bother posting it, I went to one of those threads that I've been accused of monopolizing, having saved it in the 'cut' feature; then I blew it and took another edit into cut losing what I'd written about the Hughy that I used to know, & how he had not changed, given accounts from recent grad-students, & their trials as peers of his....
I'd worked in almost all of the following praise, false praise & side-ways compliments:
adulation
applause
approbation
blandishment
blarney
condemnation
cajolery
commendation
encomium
eulogy
eyewash
flummery
fulsomeness
gallantry
gratification
glorification
self-aggrandizing
hokum
indignation
incense
ingratiation
irritation
jive
mush
obsequiousness
pettifoggery
palaver
plaudits
puffery
servility
smoke
snow
stroke
sycophancy
tribute
trucking
unctuousness
bootlicking
fawning
flattering
honeyed words
lauded
unwarranted
pretty speech
snow job
softspoken
soft-soap
sweet talk
toadyism
I do remember that I signed off with the most apropos:
Thanks for everything . . . . . Albert Dow
huh? oh
that reminds me,
another thing not worth not posting here
I used to be able to name the location of all of them...
the 'new' bridges, without snow & frost, not so much...
Here
I never knew about the alt-rights use of the frog as a symbol. Bringing into question any use of a frog Image especially a certain few images & colors....
It pains me that the repukelican agenda is to de-activate all education, save for the propaganda coming out of Texas.

Well gNome we all have our own changes to go through.
Michele cannot believe some of mine. Good thing.
Anhyway
The Count Five did it originally in 1966
Tom Petty covered it (I did not like his take)
so
there it is
The Cramps do it too
Maybe it's just me, but Poison Ivy (Cramps guitarist) kinda reminds of someboby.{}

Sorry for the gnometeruption
but I thought I’d interject here
with an off topic poemuption...
Spitifications
Removed from the home
at ninety three
they gave old Hans
the third degree
That Nazi hated
Jews you see
for Adolph warped
his sophistry
On the other hand
the goose step strut
he’d thought so cool
fit the genre naturally
Replace the metal helmet
with propeller on his cap
a wing nut never bolts
when shoveling the crap
A higher quality fascist
different than the manual says
a zero sure
with sh#t for brains
Maybe put all the tank crews
to the forward location
at least that’s what
they told him
Finishing off this odd report
an Argentine saddle
left bow legged
old Hans to the end
In solitaire
back in Belgium
he died in his bunk
that very year

Bushman,
Any time you feel it
bring it
every time you feel it write it down
And bring it here
in so much as I'm too much
whenever I re-appear
it is too much
and our host regrets his choice
I fear
Now Laura Cox is what I watch, she came "recommended"
although not as much of this[Click to View YouTube Video]more her totally bare bones practice stuff[Click to View YouTube Video]Thats not as good as some but it gives one some idea of her range

Apollo 8, the second manned spaceflight mission flown in the United States Apollo space program, was launched on December 21, 1968, and became the first manned spacecraft to leave low Earth orbit, reach the Moon, orbit it, and return.
The Apollo 11 Moon Landing on July 20, 1969, is coming up on its 50th anniversary this summer of 2019.
The Flat Earth Fake News Theory is coming up on it’s two hundred thousandth anniversary, whenever...
A Hard Bird’s Gonna Fall
Oh, where have you gone, my blue-bird son?
Oh, where have you gone, my feathered young one?
I've crashed on the ice on twelve melting glaciers
I've flown and I've flopped onto six frozen highways
I've landed in the middle of seven iced forests
I've been frozen stiff to a dozen hard oceans
I've been ten thousand miles in the funnel of an ice storm
And there’s a hard, and there’s a hard, there’s a hard, and there’s a hard
And there’s a hard bird’s a-gonna fall
Oh.....
(fifty verses later climate change continues at accelerating rate,
but last verse still frozen to first).

Not feeling quite with it today, due mainly to binge drinking.
Speeding along the process of ap·op·to·sis, I suppose, in the process.
Nice to see everyone getting along and contributing here.
I'm hitting the pillow.

Edit: especially by 1921 standards
Also, Mouse, I was thinking of the great flood.
And, that cat in the box, maybe show it to Dr. Ed on the religion thread. No uncertainty, 'bout where you at, and where your ass in going. Might help resolve some things. Just saying.

Damn. Just read between some lines. Maybe the hard thing about home is knowing you're there, even if most never really are. There's nothing in the past either.
Be well. High lonesome? Maybe, if you need a place to crash land, I know of a somewhere in the hills. We never get there entirely alone, but we have to get ourselves there by will sometimes. Be well.

Edit: motorcicle accident. I'm leaving it. If it throws you, worth repeating.
