This is me standing forlorn and feeling safer than poor Jeff, who was about this time trying to yell at Millis for some slack.
But the wind blew his words forwards, then it blew them backwards and Mousewards and air-words, just not towards Millis, around the corner in a slung belay.
Jeff was is dire straits; he could not go forwards and could not go back.
He was on the sloping summit, just out of his aid slings! He hadn't used any long runners to lessen rope-effing-drag, a new phenomenon introduced in the worst possible place.
I saved his miserable butt (Love ya, Jefe!) by intervening with the ignorantly blissful Millis.
Soooo lucky, we were.
Like I told Amy, Bill and Lauren's daughter, a waitress in a Groveland bistro (!?), the forks were with us that day.
Back on the road the road the road the road the road...
I can't help deepening affection for the lowly adjunct to many road photos, the humble fencepost. Some of what I know of them, first-hand second-hand knowledge from former alkies is what it is, repeated here again:
Many bent fencepost nails around the planet are revered by reforming alcoholics who shall remain anonymously reverent while talking six-penny slang like downing a six-pack and driving home the point that Higher Beings exist, the Force exists, and Nirvana is out there, too. Just not at the bottom of a bottle.
Yes, I am one. Yes, I scare myself in my reddish chariot of flame.
Ora pro me.
And I may pray for thee.
I have a fencepost near Chinese Camp I go to.

THocking thinking of me.
My two trips to Yosemite, one to visit Jim D and then another to visit the Rev, and then on Wednesday afternoon...
blood clot in the lung, straight to ER, do not piss out of the urinal, Mr. B., we need the pee to see how your sodium retention level is, please let me scan your wristband before I collect this blood sample, here's your med, no, we never let you sleep, you putz.
This is what I get for not renewing my Rx for Warfarin, the RAT POISON.
Second time around, last time the clot was in the heart three around Christmas of 2011, same cause.
At any heart rate, the Mouse is climbing stairs and down to 177 #.
Let my condolence flow to all who suffered from the climbing accidents on the West coast.
I haven't been following the ST, but wonder if Donini and George Lowe got up the NIAD, plan on it soon, or WTF?
Cheers, Pentecost was a beautiful day for me, in spite of being hospitalized.
I need sleep desperately, a joint and a shave--no more free razors in the healing centers--but will do them in reverse.
Ora pro me, and I shall pray for y'all.
Cheers, but I've stopped drinking.

Glad to hear that you're more or less OK. I figured you and Donini went off on some kind of music listening jag and got thrown into Camp 14 (this is different from Camp 4).
I'm happy I don't have to come and get you two out.
If you need any blood, let me know. I'm a very good blood donor.
Take care of yourself. I know you're still the man you used to be, but just a bit older.

The printed version of Middle Earth Racy Radio says "Don't deny my name."
I'm Mouse. He's Ian. The other stooge is Liam.
And you're bruising my bloody, bloody virgin mary with that spike, dude!

Instead, blinding sheet.

Tay, Hockwad!!
I'm heading for Lenna's in Gladdenfields, I mean Sonora.
It's Bob's Birthday again, can you believe it.
That's Saturday the 24th.
And then we'll go see Mr. Hyong-duck's presentation in the cavern in the canyon.
Number nine.
I am Warfarining, ya Smeagol.
My little sis knows nothing of my illness, just cuz I lost my phone list here in the empty EMT madness of "Hey, what'll we do to this guy's room? Stash that here, put some old food out for the roaches, too."
All I know is that she'll be cooking steak on Saturday. the Rev and I were getting together this last Saturday, but nope. So I'll ask him and his tiny dancer up and my brother Tim, and since Mike the Grave is fishing in Maine, my sister-in-law, as well, but she'll decline: "Oh, honey, thanks, but..."
And Lenna and Ed will be quite enough. Tim never drinks, Lenna likes to fish and can drink like a fish, too, so I have one very supportive bottle of vino for her. It's white, but she'll manage it with a steak, pretty confident.
I have discovered the Coors Non-Alcoholic brew, and it's decenter than OD's, which is roach pee, mostly.
I have the itch for NeeVada and Carson City to seek the whereabouts of an old mouse friend, Jim Livermore and then will point it to Mound City to see the Taxman, if he will send his phone, if he will point the way, I will not delay.
And ideally, the Far Niente, the Red Incarniente, will point towards the northern part of 395 and cross over Beckwourth and photograph low Sierra Nevada, not NeeVada, lowlifes crossing the Sierra Nevada a second time, as I've only driven it once in the seventies. Perhaps a night of waning moon, mon.
In a two-holer in some Anderson dive.
STay alive, I'm going climbing with you, Old Thunderbox.

Another leaf from Sixty Minutes last nite, zBrown.
Dingus style.
Guy can tell a story.
Needs some good instruction in adding MUSIC THAT FITS HIS DISTINGUISHED STYLE.
Running from bees, climbing nekkid, flying high.
A Great among the Cheap. And we are cheap talk experts on the Taco.
But DMT walks the talk, talks not sh#t, and loves his rocks, so he's a role model waiting to roll when & where the whim goes.

Me so horny! Need woodfeasting, mood boosting, BDay celebrating.
I can leave the Sonora bivvy, crampon over to the 395 and follow my nose to Mood Woody.
Ah, Telly...woody man, savant, and suck-up to Hef, George, and George's brother, the Great Liberace.
Telly the Spare Hair is just allright with me.
Bro George, not Boy George.
"One two tree, wunderbahr,
One two tree, wunderbahr.
In da vest, zoon to be in da trees, wunderbahr."
Vood Vests are best by gov't test.
Where do I go? I'll find out on the Internet!
Hang around, Thunderbox, and the TaxMan.
I got lotsa sh#t in the PA can!
Hey, it's not Mickey's vault he was molested as a drop of ink. That whole "Dad" thing is just Disney.

I just got off the phone with my sister Lenna Louise, and she's got shrt rbs from S. Kor., I have rib steaks from this critter I met this morning, and I also have some sweet broccoli salad for the BDay dinner.[Click to View YouTube Video]I kept the conversation brief.
Then I called the Rev. He's expecting me and maybe Skip on his dirt bike following me to the holy precincts of Man's and Ita Way in Greeley Hill.
He was talkin' sh#t about "heading up to the T. Pass" but had forgot it were gonna be the big weekend. We're hiding out at his place, so sorry.

I was wondering what the tree looked like behind the man who was behind Brian Wilson. After some careful research I determined that it was this guy and the tree looked just like this (or similar).
Wilson Brothers banned
Who was behind the Everly Brothers? I do not know, but I will look in to it. I do have a good idea who was in front of them.

I wish I could say the coppery-looking shots were taken with a telephoto lens, but it's best just to say it straight out:
I fought the law and walked away with nary a scratch.
Miss LEO and her radar-gunner said, "His 65th birthday was yesterday."
There was not an ounce of karma wasted and everything gonna be "O-tay!"
The lady and her husband on the bicycles are from Montreal, eh?
And there is the oh-so-nice telephoto shot of Tom's Thumb's summit, Hocking sahib.
After turning off at Craned Flat, I sat for ten minutes. Not one car came by. Everyone was going down to the 140 junction and then into Yosemite Valley. Good---fewer people to compete for the attention of the mosquitoes at the 8-9 thousand foot level.

Not exactly roaring, I 395ed to the correct place, confident that my co-pilot heeded my prayers to just allow me to do nothing and drive.
Bella cosa far niente.
"It is beautiful to do nothing."
Just listen to nothing on the Tioga-Pasadena expressway some day.
You should be so lucky.
Any body says Moosedrool's funny but no body believes any body, so WTF.
He is smart. He's not exactly handsome. But his heart and his wallet speak volumes. Mr. Andrew, I salute you. Enjoy the picture of the Valley View. It cost you $XX.xx, but it is magic from 1941, older than Donini, and worth every red cent, as they used to say in Poland.
