The Doors ≈ Touch Me

Robby Krieger, who wrote the song, originally had the lyrics as "Hit Me"; but Morrison refused to sing it that way, as he said he did not want to encourage the mass of fans to hit him.

Well maybe in a week or so I'll start organizing those terabytes of files so that we can all benefit from them. I wish there was a way to post directly without having to go thru utube.
Anyway, Sarah's Ring them Bells has always been a favorite and maybe for the third or fourth time heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Patti

IMO, but what do I know, one of Bob's most overlooked songs.
They tell me to be discreet for all intended purposes,
They tell me revenge is sweet and from where they stand, I’m sure it is.
But I feel nothing for their game where beauty goes unrecognized,
All I feel is heat and flame and all I see are dark eyes.
Must be something to have Dylan himself backing you on your cover. Keep a sharp eyeon Patti when she sings the verse above.

Turnabout is fair play, no. Aretha got some prominent mention in Tarantula.
I can't for the life of me figure out the picture in the video.

I'll have to break out the Empire Burlesque outtakes soon.
Another one that's overlooked.
You’ve been avoiding the main streets for a long, long while
The truth that I’m seeking is in your missing file
What’s your position, baby, what’s going on?
Why is the light in your eyes nearly gone?

The derivation of Dark Eyes.
"As I stepped out of the elevator, a call girl was coming toward me in the hallway—pale yellow hair wearing a fox coat—high heeled shoes that could pierce your heart. She had blue circles around her eyes, black eyeliner, dark eyes. She looked like she'd been beaten up and was afraid that she'd get beat up again. In her hand, crimson purple wine in a glass. 'I'm just dying for a drink,' she said as she passed me in the hall. She had a beautifulness, but not for this kind of world."
The Band did Holy Cow, though I like Lee's version more.
