Rick, why don't you read the comments in the correct order?
I wrote some comments. Kip "answered" me in one post with a snide remark that I shouldn't feel bad because I didn't understand the subject , without even making any comments on what I had written. I wrote a post were I said that I actually understand the subject.
Kip has actually answered me one more time. Still not commenting on the points I and other people have made though.

There are a number of other PHD'S commenting and I believe Ray's points were already discussed much earlier in the discussion.
No, rick, those point have not been answered. Kip Hansen just do like you and many other "skeptics" do, run away when asked difficult questions about your knowledge.
You already know that you are right so when it is obvious that you are wrong you have only two chooses, admit that you are wrong or run away and we know what people like you, the chief and Kip usually do.

I have to admit though that I did a mistake. I recognized* Kip's name and thought that he was actually some kind of a scientist that could made some valid points. If I had not recognized the name or knew that he was a retired it person I would probably not even had read the essay.
*Now I believe that I recognize the name from him participating in the real climate comments section that I sometimes read several years ago.

The yellow band shows the 5% to 95% envelope for the results of 33 CMIP-5 model simulations (19 different models, many with multiple realizations) that are intended to simulate Earth's Climate over the 20th Century.
After 1998, the observations are likely to be below the simulated values, indicating that the simulation as a whole are predicting too much warming.

It would be more interesting if you didn't use a temperature record that not even spencer believe is accurate.

Yes, it is his job. The main reason though is that I believe in what a "skeptic" like spencer say more when what he says goes against the "skeptic" world view than the other way around.

So I'm working on a paper about wildfire this month, learning more about that topic while pulling together fire, climatology, forest management and survey data. But for a study break I tracked down the data for something I've heard called "the other Keeling Curve."
The Keeling Curve itself visualizes the important measurement series of atmospheric CO2 concentration, started by Charles Keeling at the summit of Mauna Loa in 1958. Here's a version I posted last month:
The upward trend is driven by fossil fuel burning. In fact, we're putting about twice that much new CO2 into the air, but half is getting absorbed by oceans (hence, ocean acidification) and land.
Putting the modern instrumental record together with ice core measurements you get this, the fighter-jet takeoff of the Industrial Revolution:

But "the other Keeling Curve," what is that? Makes sense when you think about it, but accurate measurements started more recently. Here's the Mauna Loa series (there are others), showing the relative amount of oxygen left in our air. As we make more CO2, the C comes from fossil fuels and the O2 comes out of the air. So that's another way the atmosphere is changing.

I've seen this chart a number times.
It shows cooling, despite increased CO2 levels. Why the discrepancy?
About your oxygen chart - can you tell us how much oxygen levels (as a percentage of the atmosphere) has declined from 1991 to the present?

I've seen this chart a number times.
And you've seen it discussed a number of times, on this thread. Can you recall or find any of those? Probably not on WUWT.

If I have seen it discussed a number of times (on this thread), I don't remember it.
I did a search and found just one post containing a portion of that graph, which looked dramatically different from the graph I posted.
Perhaps you could explain discrepancy (again).

Sorry to see you go The Chief. You are/were the master here at combating this destructive and
nonsensical movement.
Good fishing to you. We'll stop by to say hello when we get in the neigborhood. So far this winter I've found plenty of good crags and weather to keep me busy ,so have put off the pilgramage to warmer climbing climes.
Raymond don't tell me you're going gay now.

Whew! I wish I could say, "It's been real, it's been fun."
But I can't.
I'm glad to see Dave captured his last post for prosperity.
Funny, this thread has hit 30,000 posts a couple of times already.
