It's a thin line, sometimes, between politics and propagandizing through mass mis-education. "Critical thinking" is never discussed in grade school. It comes along way too late, in college, but most never get there, so...

Had a fun walk to Paul's Place out on G Street this morning.
Said hi to an old HS swimming teammate, Steve Spendlove...Throwpie knows him, too.
I had to tiptoe past John Fox, who'd posted on FB a lovely picture of the FLOTUS. But then I decided to just say, "Nice pic of Melania, John." I then explained we were on opposite sides of the fence and that there was no point to my liking his post. It's so different when in actual contact with another person whose opinion is radically different from one's own.
A tiny bit of sincere civility goes a long ways to make life more tolerable.
I need to work on that simile.
