Hey Cosmic, Edward, blah blah, etc

I know the pride you guys take in being well informed on the issues

so I would like to get your take on this one

Trump in clear violation of Constitution’s Emoluments Clause as China funds new Trump resort project

A billion-dollar resort project being developed in Indonesia by the president’s business empire, the Trump Organization, is to receive $500 million from the Chinese government. The president’s company has been involved in the project since 2015, according to the South China Morning Post.

Trump’s continued involvement with his business empire has resulted in multiple violations of the Emoluments Clause, argues CREW. The group has sued him for illegally taking payments from foreign heads of state as well as state governors, as many international and American politicians have stayed at Trump’s hotels, dined at his restaurants, and held events at his resorts since he became president.

So guys, explain how Trump is not violating the Emoluments Clause?

^^^

I'd love to see just such an explanation from one of the conservative-leaning members here.

No name-calling, just a rational explanation.

Is there one?

And, please add to the explanation a description of how the following is not overt bribery by the Chinese of President Trump:

1. The President takes a hard line on trade with China;

2. Having caught the Chinese company ZTE cheating and lying about North Korean sanctions, the President orders them cut off from American made parts, thus effectively gutting the company;

3. The President's Indonesian business venture then receives half a billion dollars of Chinese investment;

4. Shortly thereafter the President backs off of sanctions against ZTE.

Is this bribery? It appears like bribery to me, but I certainly don't know all the background facts either.

Are there other explanations? Did anything else change other than this Chinese funding?

I'm open minded. I really dislike President Trump and his utterly corrupt administration. But I'm open minded.

To prove that I'm open minded, I'd be willing to start listing things that this fool has done that I like.

But one of you right-leaning posters help me out here. Please. No name calling, just a simple-english explanation. Was President Trump bribed by the Chinese?

This is how they will get him to take a soft line on North Korea.

Of course Trump is going to get bribed - it's his MO. It's not really bribery though, it's just BS as usual.

Hey Cosmic, blah blah, Edward, etc

*Are you happy you are going to being paying higher healthcare premiums under "TrumpCare"?

If you buy your own health insurance, gird yourself for another round of big premium increases next year.

Double-digit premium increases again appear to be on the horizon for many consumers.

Health insurance companies instituted big premium increases for 2018 in anticipation of Trump’s plan to cut off billions of dollars in repayments the federal government owed health insurers covering the lowest-income exchange customers. Insurers also reacted to Trump’s comments in 2017 that hinted his administration wouldn’t fully enforce the individual mandate.

You get what you vote for, how do you like all this "winning"?

Because Russia has a lot of power.

The USA must keep up with Joneses by making a smear campaign against whomever it feels there is a threat perceived or not.

Russia is NOT a threat.

The US makes artificial boogymen and threats to keep the war machine in business as that drives the economy,

That is why Americans are st00pid and brainwashed as they believe all that horesh!t coming out of the phony intel smear campaigns .....

I went to college in the 60s, it took me six years instead of four to get a Bachelors

I entered college in 1980, and didn't get my filigreed walking papers until 1988 (OK, it was January, 1989, because I had to resubmit my undergraduate thesis, again, because I submitted it too late in '88). I took two years off, in the middle, and went climbing. I swapped leads on my first Big Wall, back then, instead of making excellent grades and running as fast as I could towards a career treadmill.

It's not the hand you are dealt; it's how you play it.

My advisor suggested that I stop taking classes, all over the place, and concentrate on getting a degree, and getting on with my life. But, college, for me, was a wonderful experience. I was taking classes, all over the place, in all different disciplines. I would spend my homework time at the top floor of the library - where all the good technical books were - learning, and not working towards a degree.

For what it's worth, the architecture program at Cal Poly, at that time, recognized that four years was not enough time to get a degree. Classes were difficult to get into, and it was acknowledged that five years was more reasonable.

No such reasonableness existed in my mechanical engineering department, when I was there. I was an aberration.

And, student throughput was a highly sought goal, for the department officials who were wrassling away in a publicly-funded university environment.

I finally decided to leave. There is only so much you can learn in school, and that is how to learn how to learn.

Lituya puts out counter points in a reasonable manner which are always met with the b.s pussy retorts that ST is renowned for.

It screws up your circle jerk rhythm I guess?

You libtards here have very little in the way of intelligent discourse. Just self-loathing masked by petty outrage. It's a joke.

Copy/paste of whatever garbage pops up on YOUR Google and say "prove me wrong". You lazy fawks.

Google keeps you drooling and in your safe space.
