Mouse, lovely images!
Throwpie, that is a wonderful Teddy.
Gnome, I sent a PM to you.
I've been out in the wind and snow a while today, surveying archaeology sites, having a wonderful time watching the clouds racing across the blue bowl of sky. Wondering if I can rig a windsled, going to research that a bit. I would go very slow, of course, even on the ice.
Saw many Bald Eagles today.
Back to working on the paper,,,
Best wishes for a wonderful and heart-warming Thanksgiving everyone.
Blessings as well

That was a nice feralfae encounter, not that I have any clue about what one is. However, if they can make you guys sit up straight, and stop smirking, they must have some strong medicine. I hope the ff finds what she is digging for...

Anyway, just hearing in my mind, had to post, no delusions of grandjimeur.

Since you don't know feralfae:

She drops in here with faerie dust.

She is out looking for "sign" of NA glyphs on boulders, currently.

She is a polymath.

She is one of the clan, part of the tribe, and was married to a good man, Doug.

She is from Montana, lives sometimes in Alaska, and played in Peoria as a youngster.

Here's how I think of ff:
[Click to View YouTube Video]but in my mind, this is operatic and so dramatic, with faerie dust a-flyin' and spear-carriers all over the place and lots of flowers being tossed from the crowds along the way.

Yeehaw!

Not calling anyone names, purely for clarification:

Diabase
or dolerite or microgabbro is a mafic, holocrystalline, subvolcanic rock equivalent to volcanic basalt or plutonic gabbro. Diabase dikes and sills are typically shallow intrusive bodies and often exhibit fine grained to aphanitic chilled margins which may contain tachylite

You ever work as a tour guide diabase? Come take the rack for a walk?

To prove a point, never heard of it. Been to the leap most, pie shop, donner, drove through cave rock. You spot sounds like a bit of the goods. It's been too long...

Just to limit my spray, I'll only leave a link.

So much, everything! in your neck of the woods !
I loved it, it is the best, true 2-5 day, wonder-cragging locations

The wife and I tried to get to a point where we could run trips to Tahoe as it turned we did do a few places in the US & Ecuador/Peru.

As a guide, for sure I have taken point often enough to have stories of sorts.
Mostly self-deprecating more funny than sad I hope, I hope not pathetic.
A short example''';; is that when I went with other 11 regulars & 3 of us prospective Licensees, To get sworn in, the physical photos taken file made, Licenses given. When it came to the number your badge a brass oval decorated with etched oak boughs, the Guide Pin, the number that was going to be on the badge & the following file. Not just rock climbing, this is a statewide passport to the parks, a perk. This is the family numbers in NY state for hiking and camping as well as a number of amended activities, the number offered me was 666. I demurred, choosing to go to the back of the line; arriving at the desk a 2nd time, & receiving
number 894 but it always was known to a few that I was the devil's own guide...

There was A place That I was always at
Going there to climb & hang
I mean I got off the school bus there,
All the routes
5.8-5.11+(12a) All were my creations,
with only 5 of 20 existing pre-me,

then Skeletor, Bones to many here
stopped drinking Cheese Burgers & Eating Coke A cola.
dropped 150#
So was 6'4 139#,

Ate rock & seeds,
devoured everything climbable
Did 5.13 traverses 2 feet off the dirt but fully supine...

I am what I am. Common as dirt.

None of my relatives would be caught dead in a pack rat's pile,
not when there's cheese in the houses and assorted sundries to nibble.

How would YOU like it if I googled "Clipper?"

"A clipper filled with Clippers went down in heavy seas off of Patagonia south of Valparaiso
while on a visit to the White House, according to our roving correspondent Tick Fishes."

Although I hesitate as a music fan to complain about overproduction — on principle, one wants more rather than less music in the world, no matter what it is — the Dylan industry’s apparent need to expel his table scraps bespeaks a dubious flavor of auteur worship — the kind of adulation that has always attached itself to Dylan and won’t stop until every second of the man’s life has been examined and documented.

In the words of a Michael Jackson industry spokesman, "Don't stop til you get enough."

Hope no offense mouse. Avatars, I may be closer to that generation than some here. Just wondering about the folks who post is all. I enjoy the stories, even if they sometimes make the taco 'bout as clear as our burned out sky. Maybe especially so. Still, some of the garble here seems to cut with a little light.

Really, fwiw, I mentioned Keno, black coffee, and fried eggs. I got crickets. Ha! We all have our own taste I guess. Again, hope no offense, none taken.

Finally, the only mouse I ever met was down in Soledad. He may have been feeling as much, but he wasn't actually in the hole, that day. He came by way of San Quentin, but he didn't claim to have lived with the saints. Said he went in for 4, and had been down for 40. I didn't ask why... Didn't want to get out. Didn't know any different anymore. He said he liked the older style prisons, bars and blocks. Maybe anything can become familiar. I did ask about Charlie.

He said that he was a neighbor. He said that he was pretty normal (peer groups?) when he wasn't putting on the act. He said that he knew him well enough to tell him to cut it out when he went to get weird.

Supposedly, Charlie would still get fan mail by the box. I've read of the marriage proposals. "Hey Mouse, here.". Allegedly, as Charlie threw Mouse an ounce of grass, pulled out of a magazine.

What am I typing? I really don't know. Definitely, some tell stories to wear them like armor. Am I saying I should appreciate better company? Ha! Definitely, some very bad folks, but some who weren't all that bad too.

There were some glints of human decency among the requisite posturing, and stark, blunt ugliness. When they're all thrown together, it's important to tell the difference I suppose, and err on the distant side. Anyway, certainty, some people sat down for things that are more often forgiven if your visage is less "marked" (tattoos don't carry the same weight for me, after seeing ALL DAY in monchrome 3" letters across a clown's forehead. That one had a permanent smirk too, but I did my best not to smirk back).

Maybe doing eye exams can be like climbing. You sometimes see people you wouldn't otherwise. Son of one of the filthy few... If I learnt' to not ride anyone's bike or lady, I hopefully know enough to not try too hard to make a name for myself either. Maybe that, and think a little about where you want to hang.

Anyway, Vulgarians as neighbors, really? Do tell, blur the names, you know, so feelings don't get hurt. Some ears are bigger than others (I meant that one, Ha!)

Finally, good day all

and why not, ill stop screechin'
