The point is
that short term data is not really important compared to the long term trend. But individual records always appeal to mass media and people who may miss the big picture.

Continued sea level rise indicating no pause in continued heat imbalance.

Trend of increasing temperature now obvious to everyone with a brain.

Gullible and weak minded Warmists. I still laugh at them just not
as hard because they are willing victims of an orchestrated mind control
program. Believing things no intelligent person should.

The latest revelation is how a shadowy Bermudan company that has funneled
tens of millions of dollars to environmentalist groups -antiFracking- in

the United States is run by executives with deep ties to Russian oil
interests and offshore money laundering schemes involving members of
President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.

The Sierra Club, the Natural Resource Defense Council, Food and Water
Watch, the League of Conservation Voters, and the Center for American
Progress were among the recipients of Sea Change’s $100 million in grants.

Both true statements, Chief.

What don't you understand?

2014 was the warmest year in HadCrut4. It had a higher anomaly than 2010.

But, the Met Office prefers to call it a tie with 2010, due to closeness and uncertainty.

HadCRUT4 data just released agree with NOAA, NASA and the Japan Meteorological Agency that 2014 was the warmest year they've seen

I said:

Yep, Chief, it was the warmest year Met Office has seen, because it had the highest anomoly.

But the Met Office prefers to call it a tie, due to how close 2014 and 2010 were and the uncertainty.

Due to uncertainty, the Met Office will only claim that with confidence, 2014 is among the top ten.

But, 2014 has the highest anomaly in the HadCrut4 data set.

I know it's tough on your noggin, Chief, but keep trying.

How many times do we have to go over this Chief.

2014 had the highest anomaly in the HadCrut4 data set. True or False?

True, but the Met Office prefers to call it a tie with 2010.

Now the uncertainty range helps us answer the question, what are the chances it was among the top 10 and what are the chances it was the actual highest temperature on the physical planet, not in a dataset?

Do you see now, these are two different questions.

2014 has the highest anomaly in the Hadcrut4 dataset.

Prove me wrong.

Good luck with that one, Chief.

Nothing about 2014 being the WARMEST that they have seen in the UK MET OFFICE statement. Nothing any where.

I'm certain that this argument The Chief keeps wanting to blow life into has some meaning somehow. But I'm at a loss at to what the point is.

The point, 0.032 C increase in 16 years isn't any clear indication that the trend of warming has been continuing.

Says who?

Hopefully somebody with more of an understanding of math than you (no offense intended).

The Chief is again trying to deduce a meaningful trend from 2 points.

The Chief never learns.

Stop playing games The Chief. I can see how you got the 0.032 C degree increase. What I am asking is who says that this "isn't any clear indication that the trend of warming has been continuing"?

The scientists and researchers say that it is a clear indication that the warming trend is continuing. And they know the math.
