Poco, I can play along....The early days of strawberry were pretty traditional.
First bluegrass festival for me was ~1983 ~ Strawberry Music Festival @ Camp Mather, but i only went all day Saturday and Sunday morning..
The next year(1984) saw most of the Festival and bought my one and only T-shirt. All the other Strawberry Festivals i have volunteered at and received free T-shirts...
September 07, 1984 Main Stage
Berline, Crary & Hickman
Sarah Elizabeth Campbell
Sourdough slim
The Constables
The Bluestein Family
Grant Street String Band
Hot Rize featuring Red Knuckles and The Trailblazers
Norman Blake and the Rising Fawn String Ensemble
Berline, Crary & Hickman
Seldom Scene

No listing for the cantina, and the Workshops.....
Strawberry, was a lot smaller festival than Telluride, but it had an exceptional location with lots of acres to camp & play....
Delhi Dog has me beat ~for the first year attending a Bluegrass Festival.
Edit: Poco, Strawberry lost it's premiere location(Camp Mather) which was next to Hetch Hetchy in Yosemite..Last year it was hosted @ the Nevada city fairgrounds...)-;... Good show, but Just not the same, we were spoiled.

^^^ I love when you toy with me, Jef. :)
Last night's concert was off the hook and such an amazing ride ...
And when he sang this song ... my heart beat out of my chest...

(thanks, babes)
Edit: Marlow, Jefe and I went and saw War on Drugs in April, live here at Congress. THEY F*#KING SUCKED LIVE. We were shocked. LOVED listening to their studio album, but damn... We actually left, they were so bad. And what stuck out to us was the band didn't even seem to LIKE each other, let alone "gel together" on stage, and the lead singer was ALL about himself.
Very disappointing. On the other hand, we have one of their studio albums, and it's fun to listen and remember our experience.
~cheers
