You ever read "A Course in Miracles". Jesus wrote that book.
Changed my life.

"The Aborigines or other cultures out in the boondocks that haven't heard of Jesus Christ per se, accept the Creator and by default, Jesus Christ."
Do the Aborigines know that? By default, huh? You have gotta be kidding me...

Hmmmmm, and here I thought I was going to be judged on the kind of person I was. So it isn't true that good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell and those with a few minor indescresions go to purgatory for a while before transcending to heaven? You mean now I actually have to believe the same shiite as you to get in? I don't think I want in anymore! Just cycle me back thru a couple hundred times then please.

OMG what a total crock of shit!
aboriginies are in cause they never KNEW about jesus, so you are only blackmailed into subservience if you are unlucky enough to have some disease laden, power hungry, possible rapist come to your village or island? (and yes, their are many historical documentations of that so don't bother calling me out on it pal).
what about the countless (mostly non-white) souls that came before the birth of christ? guess they are in if they were good to their neighbors and didn't do mean and nasty stuff, like screw their neighbors wife, steal from the poor, or start brutal wars for no reason at all?
what about the 12 year old boys who were brutalized by all the catholic priests and thus may have chosen, by no fault of their own, to reject the teachings of the catholic church? what exactly is it that god has shown them? are they doomed to eternal damnation, just because, as innocent children, they trusted the word of a man of this god (even when the word was not to tell daddy about the church basement)?
say, since we are feeling so inclusive today, maybe you can come up w/ a way to grandfather in all those poor souls that the church has so horribly wronged over the centuries? after all, god kinda showed them something quite different than what your momma has shown you... er, i mean what god has shown you.
poor jews, right judy?
they ought to have known!
they had their chance, f*#k 'em all, let 'em burn in hell.

hey judy-
what do you have to say about the buzz that the evangelicals don't give a rats ass about the environment, and it's basically just because they expect the rapture anytime and there is nothing to save the pretty stuff for cause it's all over whan that happens anyway?

"They may say God told them to do it, but they are wrong, dead wrong."
but a man had to write the stories in the bible, another man had to translate that stuff (which is a whole different topic), and then a man had to tell you what to think they all mean. does god guide them? only if they say nice stuff about everyone, and pay their rent on time?
so if i get what you are telling me, then you are just going to disavow whatever you are not down with, and then give your god the credit for everything that sounds good at the time?
ever read the old testament?
what about the slavery and all the cruelty?
was that like god's rough draft then? or is slavery ok?

i would also be bummed to be you, and then have me point out to you, a few of the abundant contradictions in your positions.
now the aboriginies worshiped the creator, so they were all good to go, at least they were all set before those gawd-fearin missionaries arrived!
but then, if they kept their own belief system, their anchor to their land, their connection to their ancestors, and the foundation to their very culture, after they were enlightened by those missionaries, they were pretty much f*#ked for all of eternity, isn't that right?
because then god had shown them, or told them or whatever... right?
sweet...
global spiritual domination via blackmail and commerce, fortefied and maintained by guilt and superior technology- it's a beautiful story, really...

Matt since you know all the answers against so called Christianity, what is the world to do for answers to our present day problems?
Or do do have a personal negetive agenda against religion? aka God

women priests and married priests too?
not if the pedophile lobby has its way, they will lose out on lots of jobs!
heard a cardinal on NPR talking about how the church will not advocate for condoms either, nevermind the AIDS pandemic, he said that, "people need to learn to regulate their behavior".
'nuf said
(if a few million miserable kids in africa are born w/ AIDS, well, the little buggers can always ask for the forgiveness of god, right?)

werner-
pick a problem pal.
how about funding/subsidizing alternative energy as a means for energy indipendence, rather than increasing domestic oil production and securing middle eastern reserves w/ our military?
and werner- i am not aainst religion or even christianity (or christians). i am against fundamentalism in all of its forms.

energy independence? you still have to die. What good is that.

re: fundamentalism
it relates to the rigid interpretation of one thing or another (i.e. religious texts, for example), and is characterized by a lack of flexibility and a lack of tollerance of alternative practices, often to the point of disregard for the life and well-being of those in other groups or other communities.
re: energy independence
if it prevented war and pollution and environmental destruction, you would be uninterested because you still have to die? that is either sarcasm or enlightenment, no doubt.

Yes very true Matt, in the prison house the prisoners are treated this way for their ultimate punishment and deliverance. Just like the jaundiced sick person cannot tolerate sweet. It will taste bitter. Once cured sweetness is tasted again.

Yes Matt, you, yourself have become a fundamentalist like all conditioned souls that we are. Unless one understands God consciousness how can one see whether a ”SYSTEM” is bonafide or not? You have become rigid in your views. When a bonafide system comes into your view you will reject even that due to the fundamental mistake of “lumping them all together” due to a poor fund of knowledge of the absolute truth.
It is not an easy subject matter to understand for the rebelious prisoners that we are .......

you are making the presumption that there is absolute truth.
i respect that you may believe in it, but it is not a given.
