I think it would be rather funny if someone brought Old Chub beer. Fatty?

Old Chub Scotch Ale.
I love it! A tasty ale, sweet and strong! 8% ABV.
Comes in cans making it great to take climbing.

Oskar Blues also makes Dale's Pale Ale. IMO, much better than Sierra Nevada.

Part of the supply that I would usally carry in when climbing at the Monastery.

Lynne,
Modelo is ok, but Negra Modelo is my favorite Mexican beer.

Hot and muggy in N. San Diego today, just like South of the Border.....so the beer for today will be "every man's" Tecate in an aluminum can. Lunch: Authetico shrimp cocktail with fresh diced tomato, cilantro, celery, avocado and secret spices....MMMMMMMM. lrl

Steve, have you ever had Dale's. It beat Sierra Nevada in several comps. Sierra Nevada used to be good, now it's mass produced and the quality has gone way downhill! I remember when it first came out, around 1980. Long neck bottles. At least they got rid of those screw caps recently. Anyway neither of these are truley great beers, but what do I know, I've only tried about 2,000 beers.

As far as Belgium Ales go, I prefer La Chouffe!
A pleasent nose, dances nicely on the palate, spicey and a wonderful finish.
A fine ale with balanced complexity! 8% ABV and only about $10.00 a bottle!

Hey Blitzo
I've had Dale's, and IMHO,
just doesn't match.
I'll have to see if I can find a couple of those
French ales. Gotta admit, I haven't tried anywhere
near as many as you~!!!!!!
