Alex Lowe at Annapurna III base camp, October 96. The weather was less than optimal so Alex trained all day.

Fun thread, JB. Nice muscles everyone!

Just watched this enjoyable film over the weekend. Fine effort by the late Mr. Reardon, his team, and a well-chosen cast.

Riley was a Chippendale dancer?
There really is no excuse for that type of behaviour.

Mr. Steve. This is a Bill Hatcher shot from a Mythos ad. I've never been so clear on copyright issues for ST postings.

Mimi, Thanks for the compliments...yes Michael did great job - that documentary is way too flattering.

Thanks for posting the Suzuki photo...please note however it is not my photo! I'm not really sure who took that shot (someone on the ST might know???)...

Cheers all, jb

socalbolter - I remember a guy from Suicide, late 70's - mid 80's, named Kelly who could be your guy. I certainly would not call him a dwarf. I saw him around Idyllwild quite a bit, finally talked it up with him half way up the Long Climb. They were on a climb to the left. We were over half way up when a big downpour hit us. He was with a guy named Todd and another person, one of them had just had a baby or was going to have a baby. After a bit of conversation they bailed right, we aided the overhang in the rain. We got soaked, they were clearly the smarter party.

Kelly = The Troll and gunned to the hilt no doubt.
One of his tricks was to clutch these Coors mini-cans, like 8 oz'ers ... made him look huuuge.

Interesting to see how the Ironman traverse looks way different back in the 70's than it does now.

Lot's more lichen back then.

Lot's less chalk on the holds.

Still super fun problem

My vote goes to Dave Altman, then or now. 'Part animal, part machine', that one. (Or, 'part Bruce Lee, part Captain Caveman.')
