Exactly my thoughts, I would rather lurch from one chaotic episode to another for four years rather than have him quit and let Pence do real harm.
Except for when the sh#t hits the fan, which it will. North Korea is already testing Trump. I don't trust him one bit not to do something rash.

Dirtbag, Trump is stupid, but his advisers even Bannon and Steven Miller (like what are his qualifications and experience to be a senior adviser to the POTUS, go figure) are not that stupid to do anything rash.

I am thinking that Russia's missile launch was a "little love letter" to the president on this Valentine's Day. Something like, oh, say
Roses are Dead
Bodies are Blue
Keep your trap shut
Or it'll happen to you

Holy sh#t. We're only into this three weeks and look where we are. It took Nixon two terms (almost). The incompetence (or deliberate action) of this administration is staggering. The only question is will the Repubs in the House have the balls..... probably not.
Edited to add: If Trump AND Pence go down that makes Ryan President........ so.... could happen. Of course Ryan might have to explain his little lies about the 14ers.

A couple points on BASE104's excellent post.
BASE104 posted.
I've gone against the Republicans lately because they cut taxes instead of paying off the debt, or balancing the budget, like Clinton did.
Maybe some clarification on this issue of who caused what debt.
On another thread Norton had posted:
Jan 21, 2017 - 04:52pm PT
"Obama leaves the country 10 trillion dollars more in debt then when he took office, doubling the national debt."
(Norton's reply follows)
this is a typical uniformed attempt to deflect blame away from the Republicans
watch closely
In 2010 the Republicans took over majority control of the spending arm of the Federal government, the House of Representatives. They have been in control of that ever since, ok?
now, per our Constitution all government spending must be voted on to become law by the House, therefore since 2010 it is the Republican House that has voted on and approved into law virtually all of that 10 trillion, understand now?
So check this link on who controlled which houses of Congress during each administration
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_divisions_of_United_States_Congresses
So using Norton's logic (Which is usually pretty darn good)
Ronald Reagan was not responsible for the increase in the debt during his total 8 year administration.
Bill Clinton was not responsible for the decrease in debt during the last 6 years of his administration.
George W Bush was not responsible for the increase in the debt during the last 2 years of his administration.
If Norton is mistaken, then a good part of our national debt belongs to Obama.
I suspect that it takes two to tango and politics is a shell game that works both ways. Much goes on behind closed doors and leaks are strategically leaked to the media by anonymous sources...conveniently ;-)

We need to cut spending and raise taxes. If anyone can figure out a better way to pay down the debt, or simply balance the budget, I'm all ears. In the future is the insidious and regressive tax of inflation, hitting the poor the hardest. Always worked before.
BASE104 posted
I would cut taxes for those who employ more people. Not for billionaires who hide their money in offshore banks, or with stock and real estate speculation, which contribute nothing to the economy. Excellent point and great idea.
Aside from all the current political poo poo swirling now, Trump's stand on asset forfeiture and federal marijuana enforcement has my socially liberal side worried the most. I suspect democrats will find a new states rights religion during this administration.

Want any easy, reasonable, and directed tax increase? How about the proposals to tax stock trades of greater than a certain value, at cents per share. The computer traders would finally start paying to support the system that allows them to make billions off the chumps. We all (well, most of us, except Trump and lots of other very rich people) pay our fair share to support the United States, including the military, infrastructure, law enforcement, education, roads, etc. etc. These things are the basis of a stable country; this stability allows a bunch of rich pricks to make lots of money. Time to have them pay a fair share. We could even (maybe) balance the budget. It's interesting that Trump probably has never actually paid into Social Security and Medicare yet has a billion (maybe) dollars. Is this reasonable?

Bannon, from what I've read, is a blow it up kind of guy. Miller is basically a fascist. I do not trust either of them to act rationally.

I don't know much about the Logan Act, except that there have been no prosecutions under it.
David Frum, in today's Atlantic, urges us not to focus on the Logan Act, but the bigger Russian-Trump puzzle.

Oh! Are we whining Libtards being vindicated? Dare I wish? DARE I wish!??
The National Security Agency, which monitors the communications of foreign intelligence services, initially captured the communications between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russians as part of routine foreign surveillance.
The frigging IRONY that the NSA picked up this intelligence while on the "routine" hunt for bad hombres and extremist terrorists.
