I've been involved in wine testing for the get-together. Bardolino and Pinot Noir lead the pack by miles...
(In place of a blatant "Bump").

Hey Roger, have you ever enjoyed a good rose? The last few summers I have been enjoying some good ones from southern France. Really nice in the warm sunny summer weather. I'll try and bring some. I am also going to bring some of those lesser known whites from Italy that I like so much. Ever try a Kerner? Falanghina?

c4/1971: Sorry to hear that. You likely know you can get most of the campsite fee you paid refunded.
Next year.

Hah. Don't feel so bad. I know that place very well. I really don't want to say how cool it is because I regard it as a little known gem. The fishing is incredible at times and there is great access to a back-country bonanza. Lot's of interesting local history up in those canyons. Have a great time. How did you get that gig? I'm envious.

Getting closer. Getting stoked. Getting until the getting gets good.
Woot!
Sluurrp.
Fritz, do you know any good spots on the Snake where I can get my line wet from shore and maybe catch a trout or two. I have always wanted to fish it. Are there any of those smaller spring-fed creeks in your area with decent fishing or are they mostly on private property?

Hi all,
Looking forward to the gathering but I can't make it until late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Fritz, I'm happy to pay the full 5 days; or if you want to admit someone else to the group camp Sun-Mon, please do so. If tent sites are all taken, I'll sleep in my car.
I'll bring smoked salmon hors d'ouevres for Wednesday or Thursday night, and some dessert/beverage items.
See you soon,
Em

P.S.: STAYING FOR EXTRA DAYS!
Arriving late, so I've reserved space in COR campsites for Friday (near Practice Rock) and Saturday through Monday nights (walk-in site at Bath Rock).
If anyone would like to join me for climbing and to share the campsites Friday - Monday nights, please PM me. Dogs and small children (if they can belay) are welcome.

Em: Thanks for letting us know. I am looking forward to seeing you (and also that yummy salmon appetizer) once again! Re campsite fee, I have to pay for estimated people per night, so you can just pay for Weds & Thursday nights.

Looking forward to meeting those folks who didn't attend previously!
Re meals: I just got an email question about breakfasts & lunches.
You are on your own for breakfasts & lunches. We will have percolator "camp" coffee & hot water, but the coffee snobs (like Donini) make their own.
Besides your much appreciated kitchen labor, feel free to bring fine wines, beer, & great H’ordeuvres to share.
Don't forget to humor Mark Mason by using his wonderful foot-pump handwashing system, when handling food.
I will be showing up around 2:00 PM on Sunday. Last year, besides setting up camp, we got several ropes up on easy routes adjacent to camp.
Namaste,
