Disapointment on the way....
That's how I feel too, compared to some of the very creative and artistic gifts being sent out.
Thanks for making the rest of us look bad :(

drljefe- that is cool.
phew, finally got mine out this afternoon. If you get a USPS package from lake forest, don't open it. What is inside is not wrapped. I'm a chronic under achiever..........

as to your quote:
Sent mine out today....Disapointment on the way....
i happen to know that last year, did 'excellent' !!!!
AND anita514:
you will do fine! getting a gift from someone, is like
getting to know someone, as, we get a piece of YOUR EFFORT
to care...
:) how can that ever be ' making one look bad' >:D<
three cheers for anita's handywork, this year!!!!!
:)
you can always add a neat interesting coffee mug, you know, as,
folks can use that all year round and 'know that someone cared'
>:D<

Having an awful holiday season with my baby experiencing love drama - very hard on a mom, too.
But I toddled on down to the post office and mailed my gift. I forgot a card with the heartfelt note, so a little guilt crept in. However it was nice to offer a trinket to someone who might get a little lift from a gift. That perked up my spirits considerably. That old saying is so right, the joy comes from giving.
Then I entered the house and behold - my gift had arrived. Mom disappeared, and my inner child insisted on opening the gift NOW. The new kitten had to yield his spot under the tree for my gift.
I do love my coffee
And the nicest surprise, a heartfelt letter from the giftster, Jefe. I was his Secret Santa last year. The day may come when I will need that local tour of Arizona hotspots. I have climbed there, for a couple of hours, when we attended our daughter's college graduation last April. And according to the report from Kaiser, my vitamin D levels are on the low side of acceptable. A boost may be necessary.
Thank you for the holiday spirit!!

How exciting! My gift came in the mail today from a mysterious Santa.
The first part of the gift was a sturdy cardboard box with styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap inside. I'm moving soon, so this is just what I need.
In addition there are three beautifully wrapped little boxes inside! I'm going to be good and wait at least a few days to open these.
Thanks, Santa!

I didn't recognize the shipped from name but after researching my Santa I am so stoked! I am a huge fan of your California Natives thread.
Will see how long I last before I have to take a peek!

Hey Zip-
I wish I could claim responsibility. I am still bitter that I never got my ferret! ;-)
I assume this is an inside joke as no one in their right mind would want a ferret. Those little fers are just nasty.
