Thanks Leggs, it's under the power lines by my house. I love the freshly logged look too!
Oh?? Unless u were talking about the river?? ;-)
Yeah that's down by the stawamus river, upstream of the bridge by the little shack where they pump all the chlorine into our drinking water. Beautiful spot. I'll see if I have more pics from there.

Hahhahahhaha... I WAS talking about the river! (Water is unique here in the desert) Would love to see more photos of that area you're in... looks dreamy.
Happy climbing!

Had a fun sesh on Saturday.
First Luke sent the project in the back alley.
Then we went to this other little thing I scrubbed a few months ago & forgot about.
After that I had to go to work but the hwy was closed so I ditched & went out to paradise valley to meet some buddies for yet another Sesh
So much fun.

Hey Ryan-
Sorry if this is a kooky question but do have to scrub the whole boulder? That first one looks sparkly clean.
Here, if there's any moss it's been baked so hard you could use it for feet.
Haven't been bouldering recently, it's 105 F.
Edit
This is the lap before the flap

Ok guys, this sesh thread is way cooking.
First, here are a few family/old-fat-guy shots of a recent sesh:
And just to prove we have absolute radness on La Barrosa, here are a couple of pretty hard problems on the exact same boulder.
The second send of "Aracnofobia" (some years back):

and the first send of an even harder long-standing problem now called "Pensamientos Marcianos":

Thanks, Ryan
On La Barrosa, we have something like 500 established problems and lots of potential for more and harder stuff.
There is another extensive area about 35 kilometers away (near Sierra de los Padres) on the same kind of rock that also has around 500 established problems.
Cheers
Tim

I wanna bring this thread back to life, even if it means more pictures of old fat guys:
Martín on a warmup
Techo Clásico is a very beautiful (soft) V4 traverse/roof problem with about 16 moves and an exciting finish (exciting, that is, if V4 is near your limit). Check out the spotter's excellent pad control skills :

Ironically enough, I haven't been bouldering much lately. But that is mostly because I haven't been climbing much lately.
Had a nice "alpine bouldering" weekend about 2 weeks ago for my "most recent sesh". Here are a few highlights.

"alpine bouldering" It's nice to see this aspect of the sport developing more.
Once I hiked in with my pad to a boulder-field near Sherwin Lakes.

@BIOTCH
It's pretty big time out here in Colorado. Even an entire guidebook for areas below tree-line in RMNP and Mt. Evans. The modern Colorado boulderer is pretty motivated. The hike to the highest portions of Chaos Canyon can be 2-3+ hours! If only these guys were that psyched on standard alpine climbing... Maybe it's good that they are not though.
