Much different game toningt. Spurs erratic some good ball then poor and Miami playing better team ball early. Later Miami is falling back on bad habits of individual play.
The biggest difference other than the expected miami stepping up tonight is Duncan. He is being his old wilty cautious self again. Not the determined inside presence that collapsed Miami last game. Not sure why the spurs have changed their gameplan tonight. Perhaps Duncan is grumpy with all the attention the 3 pointers got due to his inside presence last game.
Weird.
Still game tied at 49 all at halftime.

NBA needs a new format. They should place all the teams and the two college teams from the final four champs game into a "lose one and done" tournament and give half the proceeds to charity and the other half to me.

yeah it is weird but the Spurs have come out in the 2nd playing Duncan ball. Totally different game now.
If they keep it up Spurs will win.
Play solid D and make Duncan engage on about 2 out of three offensive possesions. Miami will get frustrated and crumble opening everything up for the rest of the Spurs.

If the Spurs can kick out their 3 point game about now they will win . If not, the Heat are going to take game 4.
Heat are playing good defense and are setting the tempo, their full court transition game is on and their shooting percentage is up.

DOnt forget the BS refereeing going on the last 5 possesions. FOr that matter most of the 2nd half.
Spurs on the ground half the time they shoot. No calls. On the other side if there is a Spur near the shot or the ball on D then it's called.
Amazing the Spurs are holding on with Duncan sitting and corrupt officiating.
If this continues I really am done with the NBA.
I watched officiating like this cost Sacramento a championship years ago.. I stopped watching for years after that. WHy am I sucked back in again just to see the same crap.?

See what I mean? Wade jumps into Green's body on the drive and Green gets called? What's he supposed to do, step aside? What bull.
Ginobili is really stinking the joint up, why is Pop leaving him in?

Clean game happening in the 4th.
Miami stepping up bigtime on D.
Spurs in big trouble.
game over 5 MINUTES LEFT.
Miami wins with solid 4th. Scary good when they play well.
That officiating in the 3rd was like a signal that they were waiting for.
Strange game

The Spurs have to make some substantial adjustments when their key players get double- teamed. The Miami D took their inside game completely away. The Spurs secondary role players need to step up , on offense and defense.

"BS refereeing going on"
that is what setup this loss and the SA turnovers; Manu has to find his game too.

The Heat just settled down and played the way they are capable. The Spurs were erratic and sloppy and didn't make the necessary adjustments , especially in the second half.
Both Duncan and Parker looked tired in the second half.
The first 3 quarters were rough and the officiating was erratic.
Otherwise it was a good game. Too bad the Spurs didn't stay sharp like they are capable.

Like I said. Th NBA needs a new format. Ask the NSA, they know how to do it right.

true, but climbski2's observation about corrupt officiating holds. when you are playing your heart out poor officiating takes you out of your game; very difficult to not be affected.
my SO loves the NBA (GS Warrior fan)-she has to leave the room when the calls are egregiously one sided. She left the room..."games over, tv's off, you can come back in now."
