"...the prez had a very compliant House and Senate. He proposes sh#t and they just go along."
Man, I can't tell you how many times I said that about Shrub. Difference was, it lasted about 8 years, and thousands actually died.
Look at it this way, blue...you and your family still have a pulse.

I habla ingles and I'm telling you none of those repubs are qualified to run this country. Not the corporate raider, not the bible thumper, not the ass clown. 8 years of Dubya requires 16 years of opposite action to balance out all the horseshit he was party too, including 2 unwinnable, unjustifiable, wars. Bush=worst president ever.
Ever.
And I'm no Obama apologist.

Usually, yes. But have you noticed Obama's recent rhetoric about doing things himself if Congress fails to act? Isn't that dangerous to have a prez even say that???
You're a regular friggin' Rip Van Winkle who fell asleep in October 2000 and woke up January 2008 - missed the entire administration of treason of a group of guys who did way more than talk about doing things themselves without Congress.
Really, and like most of the tea party rants, there just aren't enough facts or logic involved in this thread for it to be indicative of anything but exceptional self-loathing, intense [white, male] victim mentality, and outright racism.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't boy-Bush get the ok from Congress to attack Iraq?
Obama didn't at least do that for Libya, did he? No, he got the ok from the higher-ups, the United Nations---your new world, one world government.

I honestly think it is Obama's plan to destroy the America I grew up in.
Geez, what did he do again. Raise Taxes?
No he hasn't yet but Reagan raised them 5 times (after first slashing them) and so did Bush 1 after promising not to?
Really, name some stuff. Saved the auto Industry. Is that so bad
Homework report. What decades were you growing up and what were national tax rates during those years you long for.
Peace

No he had to keep Bush's tax cuts for all. He's just destroying our currency by out of control spending. Among other things...
He makes Bush look like a fiscal conservative!

Fourteen straight months of job growth probably means that the economy is getting worse.

I'm a self employed carpenter, so my finger is directly on the pulse of the economy, but I probably don't know anything.

Our Constitution dictates that all "spending" bills must start, and be passed, by the House of Representatives
The REPUBLICANS have been in complete majority control of the House for well over one year now.
Conclusion: Any "blame" for spending must rest squarely in the REPUBLICAN'S hands.
Conclusions:; the Republicans are spending too much on welfare, social security, medicare, and the military
FACT;; Over two thirds of our national debt came under Republican Presidents.

Not by what I've seen. Are you talking private/public sector??
The REPUBLICANS have been in complete majority control of the House for well over one year now.
Yep, but the major blows ocurred in Obama's first 2 years. And you know this, but you will distort the truth as usual....

Blue, please do not get offended, but I feel I have to defend myself a bit here
You state above, and also have done se previously, that I have "distorted" facts that I have presented.
Honestly Blue, I take a certain amount of personal pride in never, ever presenting "facts" that I have not personally verified from multiple credible sources.
Yet, you maintain that I distort facts.
Can I respectfully ask you to present your case, with your specific instances, that you have found when I have lied, changed, misrepresented, or "distorted" in any way, any
facts that I have presented?
Thanks in advance

Norton, you know as well as anyone that if the narrative doesn't fit the ideology of the Repug, it is considered 'distorted'.

Norton, you imply the sh#t is sucking right now because of Repubs. The major damage was done under a Dem Congress. The Repubs only took the House in 2011.
You distort the truth by not giving the whole picture,.

Yet again, Bluering gets mad dogged.
Perhaps for good reason?
Blue, did you read the links I shared regarding job growth and unemployment numbers?
The cop out that the unemployment numbers drop due to discouraged workers doesn't jibe with the statistics on current hiring.
The economy is improving, albeit at a less than optimal rate. However, I'll take the slow growth rate under Obama over the cutthroat economic ideology of Romney.
IMO, our great nation is more than an economic engine. It's about the balance of prosperity and compassion for our fellow humans, something that the current GOP seems lacking in.

You 'feel' too much, and do not think...
I understand this commonality, it's prevalent. This is why you love Obama. He makes you 'feel' good while economies crumble around us. Everything is gonna be alright...
Meh.
