Pud, Larry blasted without the aiders. NBD. We'll get them to you.

ps. there is a set of daisies as well. You wouldn't want those would you?
funkness?

Ihateplastic. What's up widdat?
The haulbag is used but in great shape. It is fully capable of multiple El Cap routes. Oh yes, it's big too!! Also has shoulder straps, waist belt etc.
I never had one that nice. Only home made cordura ones good for less than 100 pitches.

Feast your eyes.

The haulbag does have one small less than dime sized hole. It's not even worth mentioning, really.

Mint.

ALSO.

One pair of EB's, yes the classic and revolutionary climbing shoe of the 1970's. Size 10? They are in excellant condition.

Imagine yourself showing up at the crags and flashing the testpiece of the area. Your friends are stunned in open mouth amazement. Spittle dribbling out of their mouths, milling about the massive pile of pads not even knowing what to think.

No need to tell them you had Locker slap a piece of C4 on there.
Your secret is safe with me (and Locker).

A photo of these fine shoes will be posted soon.
All of you older than, well, 50, know what they look like.

Dang, I better try them on.

Check going out to you in tomorrow's mail Dave.

The date is too far out for me to know what will be going on, but if I can swing it to the actual work party - I will.

Will probably have some copies of the new Riverside Quarry guidebook for sale too once they show up (2-4 weeks from now).

 Louie

EDIT: Just read some of the proceeding pages and realized the work is taken care of already. The size of my check just got larger and will go out tomorrow to you.

Put me down for the party along with Valarie Heredia.

Will you be selling things there too, or just online leading up to it? If so, I'm sure I can put some things together to sell and raise a little more $$$

Louie, yes we are looking for more booty.

Oh yeah, the seat!!!
This is the cleanest big wall seat I have ever seen. Plywood? You have got to be kidding me. This is fiberglass and, oh, is it clean. It is fully decked out in climbing oriented decals, but, feel free to remove them and personalize them to your (big wall god) hearts content. A little foam and you are set.

OK then, how about this:

$200 starting price, with all money going to Todd.

My back-up drill. It's used, but still works great. Includes: drill, charger, case and (2) 3.0 amp hour batteries. Both batteries are still in great shape and deliver 80-90% of original power (maybe 10-14 bolts each depending on the size and type of rock).

Even if you have this drill already, the two batteries are a deal at this price.

If I have to ship it I will, but that could get expensive so I would prefer a local pick up or some kind Orange County soul could take it to Todd's for someone to pick up there.

Mr Evans, do you have confirmation on the EB size? I had a pair years ago almost new that I found at a thrift store but they were a bit too big. Size 9.5 or so ideal. I'll start bidding at $50 regardless.

Here is a shot of the Tom Burke commemorative plaque. This is the last known in a series commisioned by Glen Lake (?) and donated by the ever so generous Larry Levoir to celebrate Tom and his joy de vivre. Tom was one of the original "Stahl Brothers" who climbed all over the world with style, determination and panache.

I must briefly mention Tom's ascent of the Matterhorn with his good friend Reagan. As they were heading up early in the ascent they encountered multiple guide led parties retreating from the mountain. As each party passed them each and every professional European mountain guide told them bad weather was imminent, to continue was unjustified, and that they too MUST go down. To these bold climbers from Cali the weather didn't look so bad and they continued their ascent. A few clouds on the horizon? PSHAW! The guides warnings became more and more adamant. They continued, the lone party on the peak. The weather got a little sketch but they eventually reached the summit which they thoroughly enjoyed by themselves and descended safely. I won't mention the slander the guides received (those whiners).

Here are the EB's (Ellis Brigham's). They are in fine condition and according to the stamp in the heal are size 10. I slipped them on and that seems realistic. I wear 10.5 and they were tight.

Thanks you guys, you all rule.

I'm actually starting to hope that we will get enough to cover a roof and party.
We are not even close though!

Dave -

Are you treating things as auctions, or should Randy get the drill and call it done?

If it's going to be auction style, when is the cutoff?

Randy -

What are your thoughts? Are you OK with treating this auction style, or would you rather take the drill as a direct sale for $200? I should have been clearer at the time of posting, but I'm good either way. Let me know...

By the way, I don't come by the site all that often, so you can get me quicker by emailing me at louieanderson@live.com.

Thanks,

 Louie

Check it out.
