Bumping for Strider. Thanks for the effort. This is a lot of fun to particpate in and I'm sure a lot of work for you.

Thanks man.

So, my recipients zip code seems a little off. Twelve numbers with two hyphens thrown in for good measure. I sent an email to strider to resolve this, but damn, I'd like to get the package in the mail today.

Additionally, that cardboard box is calling my name. What's in it? I may not make it till Christmas before I open it.

I'm pretty stoked on the gifts I'm giving, a little slice of NH.

Is it a rule that recipients can't open their packages before December 24th, or at least midwinter day?

It's my self-imposed rule, though I may break it.

Hey guys, sorry for being lazy to check up on things, I left work for 3 days for a trip to SF and I have a lot of catching up to do for work. And a lot of catching up to do here as well...

Curious as to how the names are picked for each of us.....jes wonderin'. lynne

Everyone who signed up was entered into an Excel spreadsheet and therefore had a number assigned to them according to the row/order they were in, e.g. the first person who signed up was #1, second #2, etc... Then I used this website: www.random.org to give me a random sequence of numbers from 1-52. Then I used that sequence to assign your giftee. Same method I have used for both previous Secret Santa Exchanges. I then make a couple adjustments based on special requests. Please realize, no one is allowed to ask for anyone specific, but some people have privacy concerns that I do my best to accommodate and I will leave it at that.

Is it a rule that recipients can't open their packages before December 24th, or at least midwinter day?

There are no hard and fast rules except that you post up a picture or comment about your gift, however when you open is up to you. A lot of people have a lot of things going on in their lives, and some people are simply too excited to wait. I just want this to be fun, who likes rules?!?!

Cheers to the season!

I'm looking for suggestions on what to buy Strider.

I've already purchased a few items from suggestions of the people who donated, but i still got money left.

The stuff i've sent so far is top of the line stuff, which i hope he'll dig, but it might be nice to get some input from someone who knows him too.

Locker, thanks for the suggestion of the membership to The Hair Club For Men. Was that a joke, or do you really think that might be something he would like?

If I have managed to stump my secret Santa, a donation to ASCA would make a great gift!

Ohhh...that is indeed lovely.

Ferret folks: Google "Ferretlegger" and read all about Reg Mellior. Wonderful story. Not that I am bias even if STopian Ferretlegger is my partner.

PS: I'm waiting for my gift-to-give to arrive so I can send it to my giftee. About 3000 miles away...which is interesting since just last week I was within spittin' distance of where I will be mailing it.
