Then we'd have pages of argument over whether Mohamed really f*#ked a nine year old, or waited till she was twelve.

Me, too. If a large part of religion wasn't militant - i.e., derived from militant theology and a warrior god mentality - which is NOT what we have in the world still today - a billion militant Muslims still want to smite the infidels because it's what God wants and I see no end to this ancient theistic mentality any time soon - I'd really have no problem with others embracing it either. Live and let live. Though I should say it would never be my cup of tea because of my science and life background and my exposure growing up to the militant variety via OT teaching.

Sometimes I think now that science education is more a pain in the ass than a benefit at least as far as any big bucks career or politics or any kind of public popularity or projected charisma goes. How out of whack is that? Maybe I've been infected now with too much U.S. politics and hypocrisy and Michele Bachmann, I don't know any more, maybe its just a spell, going through a life change or something, who knows?

"We just want to let followers of Islam across the globe know that, hey, we're totally with you on this one, so do your worst," said U.S. deputy secretary of state Thomas Nides, who spoke to reporters this morning shortly after CIA agents secured Jones with duct tape and tossed him face-first into the cargo bay of a DC-9 aircraft. "You want to shove a Bible in his mouth and kick it through the back of his head? Fine with us. Want to behead him on the Internet? Send us the URL—we'd love to have a look." Officials also noted that if the world's radical Islamists are still angry after dealing with Jones, the U.S. has "dozens more just like him, so say the word."

did any one here in the US go out and start rioting when you saw flags being burned So our flag is a sacred religious symbol?
Although a friend of mine from Boy Scouts (ironic) was jailed about 1969 for sewing an American flag on the ass of his jeans and wearing them in public as a Vietnam War protest.

The Jews wouldn't have their current issues with the Palestinians today if God hadn't been so soft back in Old Testament days. When he told the Jews to slaughter the men but leave the women and children that was a big mistake, should have offed every last one of em'.
