I think it was a northern water snake but I could be wrong. Yes, it caught the fish and dragged it onto the bank. We watched as it started eating and it was the stuff of nightmares! I'm not a snake guy AT ALL! (too much time in SE asia I guess) The snake had about a third of the fish in it's mouth when I just couldn't watch anymore. blah.

Sorry about the big pics. I'll try to make them smaller next time I post.

All these were taken in Glacier NP.

Dang, that baby grew fast in two hours! That's some powerful rhubarb you're growing!
Do you get to indulge in any yourself? :-)

It is bear season. Saw a mama and two cubs about 20 feet ahead of us on the Fuller Lakes trail near Cooper Landing.
Also saw these sheep high up the mountain above the upper lake.

The resident beggar at Torres del Paine. I don't know what percentage of his
diet is junk food but he sure looked healthy. He's also considerably bigger
than our foxes.

I wanted to tell this babe to ease up on the Tammie Faye Baker look but I was too mesmerized.
Oh, and how 'bout those pouty lips?

Further north the locals like to ride the rails...
