[I like their unbiased views on our present administration, BTW. They are very fair in doling out their fakery.]
The great election-eve middle-class tax cut began not as a factual proposal, but as a false promise, according to the usual sources.
When President Trump abruptly told reporters over the weekend that middle-income Americans would receive a 10 percent tax cut before the midterm elections, neither officials on Capitol Hill (blindsided yet again) nor in his administration (know-nothings all) knew anything about such a tax cut (no news here, fake or otherwise).
The White House (again!) released no substantive information (only the run-of-the-mill quackery).
And although cutting taxes requires legislation, Congress is not scheduled to be back in session until after the Nov. 6 elections (sot typical, huh?).
Yet Washington’s bureaucratic machinery whirred into action nonetheless — working to produce a policy (policy? More like "Police-ye," swear to God!) that could be seen as supporting Trump’s whim.

Life grabs you by the blls and you'd better listen.
But we don't.
I was not fated to "be in" the Inc. Valley today. I saw this clearly written by the full hand, not just the finger, of Fate.
I had it knocked, too. Got down to the Cinema, had a quickish brekkie, then trucked over to the Transpo Center in time to catch a 7:00 a.m. bus(t).
I sat & sat a longish time. I checked my phone: 7:15 a.m. and no ride! Then, just as I was getting ready to give up the ghost on this run, here comes da bus(t)! Yay!
Except it dropped off two Jappo tourons and didn't even pull into the empty parking space, just headed off to the YARTS yard.
And then my camera dies, no doubt a weak battery, and I've a fresh one in the charger at home, thinking this one in the camera is good for the day, I left home without it. I should have taken Bubble Nose's advice.

So I simply said, "Mousie, someone's trying to tell you something. Listen up, foschmucksake!"
And so I did and I boarded the M4, G Street-bound. But we sat for twenty more minutes so the driver could catch some winks (or sumthin'). Quien sabe?
I got home to the heckling duo:
"What the hell you doin', bro?"
"You should know better, schmo."

One thing that is keeping me up is thinking of the president, our current national "decider," and the future of our country with a dose of the past thrown in.

I'm not sure why not, as unsure as I've ever been, 'specially when the Orangeman is on the prod, which is always anymore.
Nothing is certain. We don't even know if the drought here in the West is over. Things are for the moment and in this era of trumpery seem to be not too stable or filled with hope.
Much too iffy to make plans, if you ask me. There's the timid mouse musing, making plans...nowhere plans, as it turns out.
Couldn't go to the Bay Area yesterday. The ride didn't materialize, which is unlike Vern to go back on what he decides he's gonna or gotta do. I'm still not sure why we didn't go. Much the same deal as the day before when I couldn't make the bus to Yosemite, which was just as well "Yesterday" as it was today.
(Gotta love the Beatles' lyrics. They seem to fit many of life's occasions. Thank you, JPG&R.
